New thread,

I won't be a very good host as I tend to dip in and out of these things but have filled up the last thread. (Sorry)

Hi Day 68

I still have the cough. It seemed to die down and then has come back again this week. Its about once an hour or half hour not at all consistent
I also have aches in my arms, arm pits and back. I am however quite active around the house , able to do my work from home and do the shopping. I do have times when I am tired and breathless.
I have been following my husbands plan of not overdoing things before I was trying do too much too fast. He is two weeks behind me and having experienced serious illnesses in his life knows recovery is very slow so he has taken care to pace himself and now me. He is much further than me along. Today he has been demolishing a small wall with a hammer and chisel having burnt out the kango. This would have been a mornings work for him before this but has now taken three days and he has loaded it into the skip as well. He does what he feels is ok and then stops and rests for the rest of day. Had minor breathlessness in evening and has had a couple of beers. So far so good. His attitude is one step at a time and if it is two forward one back not to worry moving forward. He does not set targets or cram his life full like I do. As I have said before I have learnt a lot of him in the last few weeks.

that other virus a lot of us have had, the one that is EXACTLY like covid, but isn’t covid
Grin that really made me laugh! Thank you.

Thanks for the good wishes Egghead.

I found this article interesting to show how hit and miss the tests are:

www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/30/hospital-chiefs-increasingly-frustrated-with-uk-testing-failures

AndsLee · 22/05/2020 17:27

@Fishflakes - retests are rare huh (according to this article)? Hmm. I was tested three times because the first two were "not clear". Likely user error, I know the first swab touched my tongue, which is a no no.

Egghead68 · 22/05/2020 17:41

Maybe you had that other virus a lot of us have had, the one that is EXACTLY like covid, but isn’t covid.

Grin

T found that funny, too. Thank you, I'm in that state, after 3 months, that if I don't laugh I'll cry. Grin

godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 18:02

My 5 yo has just told me his mouth tastes of metal again. He is off his food and has a slight rash on his back. It's been 9 weeks!!!

pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 18:26

@godhelpusall I developed a rash and a metallic taste in my mouth around the same time it has caused me no end of worry, but it looks like we still have the virus I am 10 weeks in myself.

OP posts:
pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 18:28

My son developed the same rash too, we’ve had gastric issues since too.

OP posts:
godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 18:29

No improvements? My son is fine for a week or two then complains of a metal taste

godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 18:30

Trying not to catastrophes

godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 18:31

I'm starting to think we are constantly reinfecting each other

pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 18:31

What are the other day 75ers feeing today?

I have a sore throat and chest and cough again and Gastric issues. Anyone else?

OP posts:
pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 18:32

Same here @godhelpusall

OP posts:
pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 18:32

I don’t think we are I think it’s a pattern the virus is throwing out as it dies off

TiddleTaddleTat · 22/05/2020 19:01

Spoke to the GP for the first time today since I had suspected covid starting in mid March, I guess I'm about 8-9 weeks in.
She's signed me off work for 2 weeks (even though it's WFH it's full of terrible toxic stress, bullying issues etc, exacerbating things as I am very busy and no time to rest)
Also been sent for a blood test.

Mittens030869 · 22/05/2020 19:02

Yes, me too, OP. I puked again this afternoon after several days free from that. Gone are the days when I huff ad a cast iron stomach. Sad

Wingingit15 · 22/05/2020 19:34

@bumhead - I also tested negative but am still unsure if I think that is right after uni to ally also being gutted.

Wingingit15 · 22/05/2020 19:34

That should read initially ....

Whatnext2018 · 22/05/2020 21:53

@godhelpusall I still have the sinus/face thing. Sneezing lots as has hay fever too and think could be that also, taken antihistamine but doesn’t seem to do much.
Symptoms today were needing the toilet straightaway as I woke up, dodgy stomach -runny and yellow, sorry tmi!
Achy legs and neck and dizziness thing start s around 8pm. Also napped with my toddler this afternoon and always feel as though something is trying to wake me up, if that makes sense 🤷‍♀️

pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 22:02

OP posts:
godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 22:13

pinkoneblueone · 22/05/2020 22:14

OP posts:
godhelpusall · 22/05/2020 22:20
