What will be the new Loo roll sell out?

ivykaty44 · 12/05/2020 12:21

After loo roll sell out came cleaning products and now bikes, cycle shops are selling entire stock of bikes and up to 50 bikes a day rather than 30 bikes a week.

So what will be the next hot product?

I think it could be tents and camping equipment as people decide to stay in UK for cheap holidays away

Those looking for caster sugar, i just use a whizzy machine to whiz up granulated sugar so it's finer in texture. As far as I'm aware it's just the texture that's different

I was lucky and managed to get baking powder and icing sugar the other day. Pure luck.

To clean glass or mirrors, use something vinegar based. There will be loads of homemade recipes on Google.

With several more studies coming out today and more in the pipeline, most definitely Vitamin D supplements.

Trampolines have been out of stock for weeks and climbing frames are going now. Skipping ropes, sidewalk chalk, craft stuff all have limited availability.

I think come winter privately paid for flu jabs will be hard to come by after Jenny Harris recommenced we all get one.

(Think it’s Jenny Harris, the lady who often participates in the daily government briefings.)

Flour and yeast are still difficult to find in supermarkets and a lot of good quality jigsaw puzzles are out of stock.

Working in a supermarket has been interesting during all of this.

At first it was literally anything and everything then it went to baking goods and most recently alcohol for VE Day celebrations.

Flour is still hard to come by and everyone is asking for it, apparently there's no shortage it's just the supplies factories are closed and it's not getting packaged.

Personally I'm after plaster for my house. We were unlucky and got flooded in February during storm Dennis and we are still living in the house with no proper walls, kitchen etc. A bag is usually £7 but they are being sold from anything between £50-£100 on eBay. It's a complete nightmare and we are desperate to fix the house and get back to normal.

I agree with elastic for face masks. Mostly because fabric shops and even Hobbycraft are shut. I got fresh yeast from Morrissons today, they had loads (plus their own bagged flour).

It’s only the supermarkets round here that aren’t stocking flour. All the farm shops, plastic free shops ( there are 3 in my nearby towns) have plenty of flour, yeast and sugar and I’ve not had an trouble getting supplies

I will get granulated sugar

I seem to remember DM using a food mill to grind granulated a bit finer if she ran out of caster for baking.
