What will be the new Loo roll sell out?

After loo roll sell out came cleaning products and now bikes, cycle shops are selling entire stock of bikes and up to 50 bikes a day rather than 30 bikes a week.

So what will be the next hot product?

I think it could be tents and camping equipment as people decide to stay in UK for cheap holidays away

Yes, j cloths!

I got plain flour at my last big supermarket shop a week or so ago.. My DH was running out. His Yorkshire Puddings are legendary! Needed for them.

I have lots of hair dye
Admittedly its various pastel shades and a couple of bright ones so probably not what your average mumsnetter wants.

I think garden stuff and craft activities for kids will be selling fast.

Caster sugar is the new toilet roll near me. Across a group to us on a whatsapp group we have tried several supermarkets and smaller shops and can’t get any at all!

Haven't found plain flour for a while, although it's a case of going in at the right time.

Superdrug has sold out of tinting brushes for dying hair.

Who asked about Marmite? I got some from Amazon. Big tub that worked about the same price per 100g I usually pay.

SheWee, as most of the toilets are closed

I know this is slightly off topic, but in my local Asda the bakery dept are selling bags of 1lb bags of plain flour made from their baulk bags.

But yes I think garden toys, paddling pools. And if we have a hot summer garden gazebos, BBQ's.

With the caster sugar if you go over granulated with a rolling pin a few times it does a fairly good job. Depending on what you are making granulated may be ok anyway, standard cup cakes or a victoria sponge are fine with granulated.

Try cornflour in an emergency. Started using it for Yorkshires after DD’s coeliac diagnosis. Total revelation!

Hi @MissDollyMix - Have you tried Waitrose for glass cleaner? My local one usually always has it.
(I'm not posh, I'm a shelf stacker there!).

Home dentistry - my OH has lost a filling (and a bit of tooth - stupid super-crunchy pretzel bites!) and our dentist isn't doing any face-to-face work at the moment, so we were advised to buy an emergency repair kit from a pharmacy - I think everyone's in the same boat, though, as they were out of stock in every pharmacy we tried (6 or 7), and Boots said they'd been sold out for 3 weeks! In the end he bought one online (for much more than it would have been in Boots or Superdrug, sigh).

Like a PP, we've also been trying to buy a Nintendo Switch and can't find one for love nor money.

We've noticed that pasta and rice are fairly reliably back in our local supermarket now, for the first time since this all kicked off... any kind of sugar is still quite hit-and-miss, though.

@timeforawine I got one at smyths toys for home delivery. When I looked initially it gave a day stock was expected in (a 3 day window) and on those days check as often as you can as come in as a preorder but sell out really quickly. It then took 2 weeks to arrive. Also, zero gravity get them in regularly on their site - just leave your email for an alert.

We've managed to get flour last week, but we now can't get any sugar!

Kids' shoes! We're just about squashing her into them - supermarkets sell plastic sandals etc, but now its turned cold again hope I can get a bigger pair of proper shoes for her!

A shoe measuring gauge for kid's feet. Clarks has been out of stock for ages!

Also charcoal and paddling pools. I've heard ping pong tables are sold out everywhere too.

Sewing machines - almost nowhere has stock of anything under £300. We must be in a Make Do and Mend revival.

I thought cocoa powder was sold out but discovered Sainsburys keep some next to the drinking chocolate as well as the baking aisle.
