I know there will be a roadmap of milestones but...

What does everyone think will be eased first and do you think it will be live from tomorrow (Monday)?

I think more return to work most to carry on working from home where possible and maybe be allowed to visit family at 2 metre distance.

Don't know, don't care, I've given up. I'm just existing as best I can and trying to ignore the fuckwits.

gingganggooleywotsit · 10/05/2020 16:07

wish it was a bit later I will be busy putting my kid to bed at that time!

Apolloanddaphne · 10/05/2020 16:07

I think there is a lot of moaning for the sake of it on this thread. A Sunday night is a good night for a briefing as most people are around. Despite being in lockdown many people are still working and a week night wouldn't work for lots of people. It will be recorded to make sure it can go out smoothly with no glitches. Also BJ is allowed the weekend off to be with his family. If you don't want to watch to switch over or switch off.

rosie1959 · 10/05/2020 16:08

I suspect for some whatever he says it will not be good enough

Itisasecret · 10/05/2020 16:11

It is now being reported that not only was it pre-recorded all the whole report was ‘signed off’ yet him before the COBR and cabinet meeting today.

It’s almost like they are hiding him. I know he’s a terrible speaker but....there has to be more to it. They really do not want him seen.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 16:15

What does this mean?

vera99 · 10/05/2020 16:16

Probably hitting the bottle big time and can't be trusted to be sober at 7pm ! Hopefully, he's keeping his wine off the sofa this time.

Babyroobs · 10/05/2020 16:18

So it may just mean the gangs of cyclists zooming up behind me without warning and nearly running over my little dog forcing us to dive onto the grass verges can happen more frequently now ?

rosie1959 · 10/05/2020 16:19

If it is pre recorded could it possibly because he is still suffering the after effect of Coronavirus and cannot talk for long periods

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 16:23

If that's the case then he needs to step down for someone else to do the job.

In fact, can we not just furlough him? Grin

vera99 · 10/05/2020 16:24

@rosie1959 oh great news then he's medically unfit to be PM- god help us all.

rosie1959 · 10/05/2020 16:33

@vera99 that’s about the daftest reply I have seen

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 16:34

No @rosie1959 yours is.

RedToothBrush · 10/05/2020 16:34

I think there are some people for whom, shutting Johnson up, would be wishful thinking. Some of them aren't Tory MPs too!

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 16:36

There's such a thing as fitness to practice. If your doctor was diagnosed with dementia do you think he'd be allowed to practice?

vera99 · 10/05/2020 16:36

Sorry I used the word god and medically. Omit those, please for greater clarity.

MarshaBradyo · 10/05/2020 16:38

Not a big change. Not unlike Wales I reckon.

Port1aCastis · 10/05/2020 16:38

If he's still sick put him on SSP see if it'll pay his alimonies or not

Sandybval · 10/05/2020 16:40

I don't get the issue with it being pre recorded?

rosie1959 · 10/05/2020 16:41

@vera99 so if I contract Coronavirus spend time in intensive care return to work within 2 weeks even though I am still a little short of breath then I am no longer fit to do my job Maybe true if I were a fireman but I think as being an accountant I could still manage fine - just not be capable of doing a long presentation
Why should Boris be any different

MarshaBradyo · 10/05/2020 16:47

I don’t understand the issue with pre-recorded either. If he stuffs up a line it’s easier to redo.

vera99 · 10/05/2020 16:50

@rosie1959 he was never fit to do the job in the best of times which these are certainly not, and seemingly briefing against Matt Hancock who is working his guts out. No honour amongst thieves is there...

Itisasecret · 10/05/2020 16:56

@vera99 I have seen that rumour too.

Cantbelievethebias · 10/05/2020 16:58

FFS

We know this a left leaning site but please leave the man alone with your nasty sarcastic comments.

rosie1959 · 10/05/2020 16:59

@vera99 we shall have to agree to disagree on this one no offence meant
