I know this is pure speculation, but any predictions about changes from next Monday?

@Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear An actual garden centre.

Bluntness100 · 06/05/2020 20:40

Restricted travel but not abroad, what like we can do now...🤣

Paws, you’re posting Ireland’s plan honey.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 06/05/2020 20:41

Wow where was that Haven? I am very envious!

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 06/05/2020 20:45

@Hugglespuffed I have no issue with when it started and in fact it will have stopped a deluge of patients for sure but now that we are 7 weeks in our teams need to start seeing the non essential patients again and start looking at gradual easing but Nicola doesn’t want that she wants nothing to be the same again all doom and gloom and intact her paper on looking at what would be needed for coming out of lockdown literally said Christmas isn’t cancelled but it won’t be like any we have known before! Fantastic so I’ll have a Christmas away from my family to look forward to then by the sounds of it

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 06/05/2020 20:46

@Mascotte I wish that were true but in my area if you even dare express opinion on it it’s akin to Murder

Peppafrig · 06/05/2020 20:49

Sure you do paws and Boris is my uncle .

pawsforawhile · 06/05/2020 20:49

You can just wait for the official guidance.

AlwaysRememberUsThisWay · 06/05/2020 20:50

So schools later than June paws??

Daffodil101 · 06/05/2020 20:51

Why did they give you a copy, paws? As part of your job?

You must be very senior indeed

pawsforawhile · 06/05/2020 20:52

You know you try and give people a bit of a heads up and get derision, called a liar - well . No skin off my nose . Yes I'm a total charlatan. That suits me .

Forgone90 · 06/05/2020 20:52

These nightingale hospitals were built for a reason... They want to carry on with the herd immunity idea but at a slow pace.. So will ease restrictions hoping that more people get the disease but in a manigible way...

Daffodil101 · 06/05/2020 20:52

You’ve name changed before, paws.

So have I, mind you. About ten times since 2004!

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 06/05/2020 20:52

@redsky75 I’ve just seen an article from the times saying Scotland may be past the peak? As I said earlier I’m near the borders and our nhs board told us then, 7 week ago, that we were a few weeks away from having a massive influx of patients and they kept saying that every so often and yet it hasn’t materialised, now it is no longer mentioned and we are trying to get back to non essential visits and back to separate teams instead of one big one like we are just now, we haven’t had one positive patient on our caseload in those 7 weeks apart from odd ones in care homes

ifonly4 · 06/05/2020 20:52

Other than children transitioning to the next phase, it would make sense if schools went back last. It's going to mess employers around if staff can only work limited/irregular hours then want six weeks off. Employers might find it easier for staff to take unpaid leave and in turn they can use the money for a temp for three months

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 06/05/2020 20:55

@Forgone90 none in the new one in Glasgow staff have been stood down

Peppafrig · 06/05/2020 20:57

@TheCountessatHotelCortez that's fantastic it hasn't been as bad there as they thought. Would you rather more people had died and they were right?

DahliaDay · 06/05/2020 20:57

@pawsforawhile people dont like what they are hearing.....mumsnetters seem to want schools/childcare back open first, hearing they won't open until september will tip them over the edge

SistemaAddict · 06/05/2020 20:58

Paws works in dv according to an earlier thread 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 06/05/2020 21:02

@Peppafrig absolutely not! In fact I said as much in an earlier post that it’s fantastic that things didn’t get as bad as they feared but they now need to look at ways of getting us out of lockdown not keeping Scotland locked in until a vaccine 🙄

headachehair · 06/05/2020 21:04

Just wondering...if schools go back in September....will they get a summer full of activity (as in, will all other areas be open by then - pools, holiday parks, play parks, cinemas, theme parks etc) or will it be 6 months of 'largely stay at home' with daily walks and exercise only.

lyralalala · 06/05/2020 21:04

I have an official copy of the proposal.

According to the MP that was just on the radio the plan is still being put together. Hence it not being announced tomorrow at the lockdown update

headachehair · 06/05/2020 21:04

6 months from lockdown to September I mean.

ifonly4 · 06/05/2020 21:07

If Paws has seen the paperwork, could be someone in the same house who has access to it. DH has a computer, iPad and two phones on the go, as well as paperwork around, it's hard not to pick up on messages coming through or see stuff if I have to go into room, or want to use the computer quickly myself.
