I know this is pure speculation, but any predictions about changes from next Monday?

pawsforawhile · 06/05/2020 23:26

The government document I have only goes up to August for phase 5. In England .

pawsforawhile · 06/05/2020 23:27

Ok peppa. Whatever. 🙂

ClientQ · 06/05/2020 23:29

I'm wondering when my work will reopen (car dealership) and how it will look, things will be very different inside I imagine. And also when shielding will end

pawsforawhile · 06/05/2020 23:29

I blacked out the other restrictions and my details .

If it's in the public domain fab. But I've had people telling me the dm would be in me so I blacked out the content of the personal email sent to me .

Hadenoughfornow · 06/05/2020 23:36

Even if the Irish plan was the best plan (I'm not convinced) then we would naturally do the complete opposite.

I suspect we will all need to wait until Sunday but look at the Times / Torygraph and Daily Fail as there will inevitably be leaks

Peppafrig · 06/05/2020 23:37

@pawsforawhile for someone who likes to pick up on others grammar you might want to take your own advice .
Well peppa. I'm not going to that much notice now as your grammar belies you.

I'm not going to that much notice now that's perfect grammar for you right there.

BrieAndChilli · 06/05/2020 23:43

The problem with that 5 stage plan outlined above is that schools are in the last phase - a lot of people need school (and in holidays childcare/holiday clubs) in order to work. If these aren’t running then many people won’t be able to get back to work??
This makes me think that this so called plan isn’t real. Surely at least primary age children will need to go back to school and all the associated childcare/after school clubs etc in order for lots of people to return to work???

ceeveebee · 06/05/2020 23:52

Paws -To be honest if you really do work in an “intel” role and are in receipt of classified information, and you then decide to leak it all over a public forum (even if anonymised), you should be fired. No one should be leaking so-called plans and stirring up anxiety until the plans are finalised and released in the proper way

BigChocFrenzy · 06/05/2020 23:54

As sweeteners:

Little risk outdoors in small groups, so I'd hope this is allowed

Also remove limits on outdoor exercise

Then outline the plan to restart the economy & schools and the conditions that must be fulfilled at each stage

Choosing "social bubbles" sounds like the start of lifelong family fueds and breaking up friendhips
Daft idea, which I hope has been hit over the head and buried somewhere deep

plastichamisntnice · 06/05/2020 23:58

I didn't think this would stir anxiety at all more allay it?

but I cannot win either way. im accused of being some troll so I post something to prove im not and then I should be sacked! this place really has changed! I maybe need to decamp to nethuns.

Daffodil101 · 07/05/2020 00:00

Grammar is a good point, paws.

You should look up the difference between ‘affect’ and ‘effect.’

As you were.

pfrench · 07/05/2020 00:00

No plan in the UK would mention km as a unit of measurement, or cocooning. Neither have been a feature of lockdon communication. Ridiculous.

Mawbags · 07/05/2020 00:02

@pawsforawhile

You’re such a tool spreading this crap about.

Both my husband and I had emails from people “in da know” with this exact info down to the daft gold bullets. Yesterday morning actually.

THIS IS THE IRISH PLAN, see references to “cocooning”, GAA and soccer.

RightOnTheEdge · 07/05/2020 00:03

Pawsforawhile plastichamisntnice
Whoever you are Confused

Do you work as a specialist in DV or in Intel?
Or both?

Hadenoughfornow · 07/05/2020 00:15

I think the Daily Fail is more on the know than Paws and I usually discard all their articles

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8292573/Boris-Johnson-admits-UKs-coronavirus-death-toll-appalling.html

Hadenoughfornow · 07/05/2020 00:34

Even the Mirror seems close to the Fail.

All different form the PP who is going to get sacked if she's genuine.

LEELULUMPKIN · 07/05/2020 01:01

Well to be perfectly honest Paws I have no idea whether you are genuine or not, I just think that if you are you are totally in the wrong job.

You are clearly not to be trusted with any "intel"

DdraigGoch · 07/05/2020 01:06

I work for government in an intel role so this email sent to me is classified.
If you really did then you'd know that everything that comes out of any government department is "classified". There are four classifications: Official, Official-Sensitive, Secret, and Top Secret. So to use "classified" to imply that you are privy to restricted information reads more like someone who's been reading too many novels.

Of course if you really did work in an "Intel" role you'd have signed the Official Secrets Act and therefore risking imprisonment and/or a fine.

plastichamisntnice · 07/05/2020 01:14

Ok.

You will see . This might be the Irish plan but it's almost certainly goi g to be announced that this is also the English plan . I have no idea why such hostility. This place is so different from what I knew. My last few threads have been pulled
To bits . I used to be a regular poster here and I was well known, I was apparently missed because of my kindness. That's a rare commodity here now apparently. You will see in the next few days that this is our model, but whatever. I'm not staying with mn . It's so very different to what I joined ! You know when this gets announced I will expect a few apologies but I'm guessing the thread will simply die with no one saying anything! Let's see . Nethuns I think . This place used to be affectionately called a nest of vipers. Now it's just a nest of vile . No class . No funny . No thinking. No kindness. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DdraigGoch · 07/05/2020 01:19

@plastichamisntnice you reckon that the UK government will follow the Irish plan to the letter? No differences at all? Not even when term dates differ? Yeah, right...

plastichamisntnice · 07/05/2020 01:23

Sorry yes that me with a name change.

No . I don't think that . I'm going from the email sent to me outlining the plans to ease restrictions.

The name change didn't take until now for some reason. But I do need to leave this and let you all just find out for yourselves. I'm hiding the thread now because getting slated actually does affect me . No idea why I put myself in the firing line .

Daffodil101 · 07/05/2020 01:36

You can’t see that your posting style suggests that you aren’t very professional, and that this makes people suspicious whether you’d have been trusted with some top secret info?

And that it’s obvious from previous posts that you work in domestic violence.

And that there are flaws in the ‘plan’ - for example, we measure in miles, not Km?

And you threaten to leave but you come back with a name change. And you are nasty about people’s grammar despite using quite poor grammar yourself? And you threaten to leave and go to Nethuns, as they will appreciate you.

I think most posters here are quite nice but some think critically. If you thought critically, you’d cover your tracks.

If you do work in government intelligence and you are privy to info, then I’d like to bet it’s not of the top secret variety, and I agree that you’d be worry about being identifiable and you’d understand confidentiality.

Ijustneed · 07/05/2020 01:42

I live in the Yorkshire coast in a popular seaside resort. We have a tiny hospital. If everyone is allowed to travel here and then become ill the hospital will immediately be overwhelmed. It's not a good idea at all. On the other hand I know local businesses need the tourists in order to survive, I just think it's a bit early yet.

Daffodil101 · 07/05/2020 01:43

I agree with you. Too early for that, but then it would be day trippers right now. They’d not hang around and overwhelm your hospital.
