Sarah - no, I need to know if there’s proof and/or they admit it. Which they have.

I wonder if the affair has come as a surprise to the woman’s husband? What a way to get caught out cheating....being splashed over the front page of every national paper!

30,000+ deaths wasn't enough for some of the psychopaths around here.

As the story harks back to a little while ago and the Torygraph may have been sitting on it for a wee while, could it have been selected for publication now to trump a more important headline and shocking statistic which is that the the UK now has the highest number of deaths in Europe?

“ We have 30,000 officially dead” Including those Patrick Vallance said very specifically Had not been tested

You didn't answer my questions, you just gave a very short quote with no context or referrence.

From that I infer that you don't think the hundreds of thousands dead worldwide are actually caused by Covid 19 and you think if we just remove the lockdown it will all be fine?

don you directed your question at the OP, not me.

For the record, I’d have gone for the Swedish approach. Which Ferguson sails should have meant 40,000 deaths there by 1st May.

Maybe I’m inhuman according to some of you. Past caring.

Did Neil Ferguson support the lockdown?

Surely we would have had to lockdown anyway so what will they scapegoat him for?

If it was a month ago, wasn't that when he was ill? In which case she might have visited in order to provide meds, food and assistance

Assistance? Well, it's a novel word for it I suppose

What with this and the packed flight from Ireland it's becoming ever clearer this has been an exercise in control by fear
I'd wondered about inviting a friend round tomorrow for the first time since lockdown (to sit 6ft apart in the garden of course) but now that'll definitely be going ahead

Are you not the OP Lilactree? You are highlighted as such and the OP has your name above it.

For the record, I’d have gone for the Swedish approach.

What would you do when our death numbers kept rising, for the reasons I explained in my post about Sweden?

The numbers can be modelled but it is only healthy to question the model and how the virus can be managed. We were sold that the only way was lockdown, schools closing etc. Not everyone agrees with that

That debate is happening amongst qualified people- it's how scientific consensus occurs. The quality of 'debate' from those who think there should never have been a lockdown and 'it's just a bad flu' is not of much value.

The problem is that the promotion of falsehoods will encourage some to break, and thus prolong, the lockdown.

It's that thing with some experts and managers - they don't trust you to do something safely so they ban it and do it themselves because they 'know' they are safe.

What approach was that 40,000 deaths estimate based on in Sweden? What were the confidence limits in that estimate?

Have the Swedish people behaved as they were modelled to to get that estimate?

I can not and will not read anything from the Express

Surprisingly that article is actually of a lower quality than their usual journalism, I would not waste your energy.
