Rosehip I thought the same. When I read that his lover is a ‘left wing campaigner’ I was even more suspicious. Who has been out and about following her movements? It’s seems slightly odd to me. It’s not like they were seen cavorting in public.

Sorry for the mail link - but why is the need in EVERY mail story to mention house prices ffs -

"Antonia Staats, 38, lives with her husband, in his 30s, and two children in a £1.9 million house in south London"

What relevance is the bloody price of the house!

Interesting that the BBC is simply reporting he has stepped down due to admitting breaking lockdown and not how.

The Mail also describes her as a "Left wing activist"

I am losing faith in the lot of them. We are being spun a yarn about many things. Face masks, protection equipment, testing and so on.

There is something of the night about that man... snort!

wonder if her husband knew? Or did she claim she was just nipping to Waitrose?

For those commenting on his 'estimates' on the Foot and Mouth outbreak, how many of you read the original research papers or is your expertise and judgement informed by reporting in the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph?

I think lots of influential and rich people have broken lock down. I’ve seen an ex (powerful position in gov, won’t say what) in my locality who certainly doesn’t live here and they have certainly travelled from London.

In terms of timing... do other people think that Telegraph investigated and set up this story for political reasons? They've been trying to get Boris to end the lockdown for weeks.

I can't imagine this was set up, but it wouldn't particularly shock me if it were known about before now but had been sat on until a point when it was convenient for it to come out.

Lol

Extra marital affairs are usually verboten on MN.

But suddenly it’s a right wing conspiracy.

Don't trust any of them sadly. I think they all have their agendas.

Why are people on this thread celebrating this ...what have I missed please?

plus I didnt buy into his theory.
Yeah me neither.

Well he clearly either thinks that immunity is definitely a thing or maybe Covid is not that bad? Why else risk someone he cares about?

Viv “I am losing faith in the lot of them. We are being spun a yarn about many things. Face masks, protection equipment, testing and so on.”

I’m glad you said that. I think a lot of posters are going to NC when they realise lockdown was a mistake.

Pp comment on Neil Ferguson history - I don’t do MSM much but my late father worked as HCP with infectious disease patients so Ferguson’s views were much discussed in my home and I grew up reading the BMJ and Lancet for my sins.

Apparently I was quite clever when I was young, either mental health issues ruined it or the medication did, I don’t know.

But the medication enabled me to keep a roof over my head and myself away from the edge of the train platform so it all has to be balanced out 🤷🏻‍♀️

I reckon someone has tipped them off and that's how they've known to follow and get dates etc.

Peapod29 · 05/05/2020 20:57

It says she and her husband have an open marriage.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 05/05/2020 20:59

Well that’s ok then.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 05/05/2020 20:59

the papers had the exact dates she visited, and it's over a month ago in the first case so they seem to have been sitting on it. Why would they do that?

It makes me so angry that we have been following the lockdown rules and yet they can do what they want. One of my closest friends and her husband have both had C19 but they still arent allowing anyone into their house - I had coffee with her at the weekend via Zoom. Why do we bother when he clearly thinks it's ok to have people in your house if you've had C19?

Bloody good job it's an open marriage. Or at least it is now.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but the Fail are really going after government, aren't they? Things MUST be bad! Confused On the front page they're reporting on Matt Hancock being accused of sexism for telling the MP to watch her tone. twitter.com/DrRosena/status/1257644583158251522?s=19
