I don't understand this theory AT ALL. How can people seriously believe this?

People are dying and yet, there are people who don't believe this and think hospitals are empty.

Not sure the point of this post. I guess to hear that other people think this theory is crazy!?

my brother is a big conspiracy theorist. He added (to the hoax theory) that they will test everyone when we all get back to normal and those who took time off with "the virus" will be sacked.

He tells me - (he has a number of "theories" that just wash over me on the weekly family facetime) - it is just the flu. If it is not, it was released by the eco-warriors to reset the world. We will never have cheap flights again. We will never buy all our crap from China again.

But the birds aren't real because they have all been killed by 5G. Fake birds.

There are always going to be people who find a conspiracy with almost anything! One of my Cousins is a Doctor in a Northern Hospital and has had CV as almost everyone there caught it .She is better now and back at work .The whole concept of a Virus "from nowhere" rocking up and threatening our lives and wellbeing ,is the stuff of Sci/Fi and Horror movies and doesnt seem real even though it very much is!

I don’t think theres any hoax going on. But we certainly shouldn’t be banning people refuting government version of events in any kind of free society. I watched that interview with David Icke on Youtube that Ofcom pulled from broadcast on a minor radio station and which influential journalists have asked to be banned..... Nothing outrageous to it at all really, mostly just setting out that in the years to come governments may take this as an opportunity to further encroach on civil liberties by the backdooor (seems fairly plausible to me). It was fairly substandard and boring actually, I was expecting a lot more juice.

Anyway, in a free society people have a right to chat shit, come up with unlikely conspiracies, and claim that governments have dark motives. And when our politicians spout barrages of shit in order for us to elect them (or support idiocy like Brexit) it is gross hypocrisy to ask the public to refrain from doing the same.

I think that there will be continue to be theories and hoax rumours, it doesn't help when people have died in hospital of natural causes and the hospital records it as corona because the alternative is to wait 7/8weeks for an autopsy. No autopsy on a corona death and then the burial can take place.

The so-called "dead" are all living on a secret island with the passengers on Malaysian Airlines and everyone who worked on the moon landings hoax.

Same people who believe the earth is flat, some people just don’t want to believe what has been proven to be fact.

I know of 2 people who have died from it in hospital. Relatives of colleagues and over 70.
Some people just live a conspiracy theory but I don’t see how this could even get off the ground.

I don't think it's a hoax but I can understand the massive dissonance for some of the population. I have several times been sitting in my garden in the sunshine and really struggled to believe the news that I am hearing. There has been a suppression of direct first person reports from hospitals and staff have been told not to talk to the press. I think as a family we've actually had CV and recovered just before lockdown so we have been fairly isolated for 7 weeks, which is enough to drive anyone crazy, but there have not been many deaths here in the SW, so when a parent a school died yesterday that was my first altercation with the 'killer virus' that the media is portraying. 😢

I have 2 hospitals near me. One of them has a ward for covid patients with 24 beds. There are only 12 people in there.
The rest of the hospital is a ghost town; almost everything has been cancelled. The place is empty. I dont know about the other hospital because I dont know anyone working there.

It's not a hoax. People are dieing. Some areas are worse than others. But there is absolutely no reason for our hospitals to sit empty whilst people could die from other causes because they arent being operated on or treated.

My brother keeps pointing out that on an average day approximately 1400-1600 people die in the UK on any normal day. And that the government are trying to apportion some of these to coronavirus.

With hospitals they're trying to keep CV19 patients separate as it's highly infectious, so it may seem quiet in standard A&E.

Plus all of the twats who used to go with a splinter in their finger (and of course, take their entire families along to keep them company and occupy all of the seats while they waited, and loudly complain about how long they'd been there) are no longer bothering to go.

Where are you getting this information from ?

Agree. After the initial fire fighting to try and reduce the numbers of people dying, we now have to create a health service which can care for covid patients safely alongside those who do not have covid.
In the meantime, people need to continue to take responsibility for their own health and seek help. GPs phone lines are still taking phonecalls and will triage patients.
A&E depts have NEVER closed.

We have to create a new normal.

People in hospital are tested! They know they have Coronavirus before they die. You can’t just make up info on a death certificate!

I hate conspiracy theories. I used to find them funny but now I think they’re unutterable sad. Watch that documentary about Flat Earthers. The level of scientific ignorance and self-deception is shocking. Not to mention those who see it as a money-making opportunity - making a fortune out of the gullible.
