Well after today’s conference call I will do. 8.30am, still in pjs and bed hair. Just started wfh, but normally read emails, organise day then have shower to get ready. We have a team catch up via video at 10am, so make sure presentable for then. Today, Coffee and toast, laptop switched on. My boss called me on video teams for urgent work. Forgot I wasn’t dressed and office ready. She got an insight to natural me and I didn’t like the look on the video call. Very short call 😂😂

Cherrysherbet · 03/04/2020 21:15

Yes, I work in a supermarket. It would be weird otherwise 😬

winterchills · 03/04/2020 21:17

Im washing in the morning then getting either loungewear on or clean pjs depending how I feel. I wore jeans yesterday for an hour and swapped back!

brightyellowcardigan · 03/04/2020 21:18

Yep, I'm up later but by nine me and the dc are washed and dressed. I'm wearing tracksuit bottoms or leggings though and not wearing make up but I am keeping on top of washing my hair.

If we don't get dressed we slob about all day watching tv, then again even dressed we seem to be spending a big chunk of time doing that anyway Hmm

CathyorClaire · 03/04/2020 21:20

Yes.

Going for my Boris walk in jammies wouldn't feel right.

LeahDownTheLane · 03/04/2020 21:30

Yes definitely, feel much worse if I don’t.

hammeringinmyhead · 03/04/2020 21:35

Yes, because if I'm not dressed by 9 when husband starts work then I can't go for a walk with toddler DS til after lunchtime.

I may ditch the stretchy jeans for leggings though, and I never wear leggings as trousers!

RoseMartha · 03/04/2020 21:37

Yes because it keeps a routine going which is important for my dc.

Mrsdoubtfireswig · 03/04/2020 21:48

Yep still in a routine. Washed and dressed every morning, wfh with toddler. No make up though, washing hair a lot less and not blow drying / straightening it either so it looks a bit wild. No video calls yet - will do hair and make up again when they start

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/04/2020 22:08

Ive not changed my routine at all. Up at usual time. Still getting dressed before breakfast, either in normal clothes or running clothes. Work has decreased a lot, but i'm using that opportunity to upskill.

Housework is suffering but that's because I've discovered online exercise classes and gardening are more fun.

FlyingPandas · 03/04/2020 22:21

I have kept to usual routine - perhaps an hour or so later, as I don't have to nag the teenager out of bed for school, But I'm still showering and dressing, styling my hair, applying a bit of makeup. And doing as I've always done in the house - making beds, washing up, cleaning and putting the washing on and keeping house tidy etc.

I did exactly the same through the post-natal period with three babies - there was not one day ever that I didn't shower and wash my hair and so on. Because it made me feel human. I would feel beyond shite if I stayed in my PJs all day, my mental health would plummet.

So I'm still carrying on more or less as normal, even if I'm not leaving the house. It makes me feel happy and in control. It makes no difference that no-one sees me apart from DH and the kids, I feel better in myself if I look decent.
