Continued support for those who need a few kind words to help them through the dips.

Please do not come here to ask 'but how do you know if you haven't had a test'

stayathome lovely to hear you are caring for your neighbour, she sounds formidable.

Spacecadetagain · 30/03/2020 15:16

@EllenRipley I must admit I was wondering the same about Prince Charles !

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 15:18

@stayathomegardener What an amazing neighbour you are..thats just so lovely xx

GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 30/03/2020 15:29

Maybe he has access to anti viral treatments which none of the rest of us are getting.

AnythingPecan · 30/03/2020 15:49

Isn't Prince Charles just out of isolation? He's been isolating for 7 days - as per the NHS guidelines. Doesn't mention anything about his condition, though I do hope he's well....

DandyPenguin · 30/03/2020 15:54

Placemarking. Was on the last 3 threads. Still ill. Day 12/13 here. I think you count the 14-day isolation from the first day you had symptoms, right?

Gogoberry · 30/03/2020 15:55

I’ve had to give up on working from home in my very new job because everything hurts and my temperature is now 39.4 and making feel horrendous. Can’t afford to lose my job either though. Sad

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 15:57

Just touching base for those who are around my timescales. Today is my day 8. I slept 2am-8am but then all morning Ive had the tremors/shakes/pains/hot prickles for hours across my body. But at 2pm ish they have stopped. This has been my first real window of wellness. My chest is very tight, like you @tangledyarn I have an oximeter so although my chest is burning like heartburn now i can see my levels are okay and im not in the grips of the physical sensations. This is the first tiny window ive had where the despair has stopped. Hope its not back later. But there. Day 8. A glimmer of hope.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 16:00

@DandyPenguin what symptoms have you got at this point? Can we help you ride them out.

@Gogoberry can you make your excuses whilst you are symptomatic. Is your work anything u can take to bed? Or customer calls etc?

onlinelinda · 30/03/2020 16:02

Im still keeping an eye on everyone and remember all names, including newbies, although its hard to name check everyone.

I'm on day 16. Felt a lot better last 3 days although some mild breathlessness and still pains on and off in chest or back. Still coming and going a bit. More tired by far than usual, and couldn't imagine going out. I get quite a lot colder than I should normally-but then I'm moving less. But overall I'm tons better, and getting up in the day, if late!

I'm being cautious as I suspect my steroid and other inhaler are making some difference.

I lost touch rather in thread 3 as I became too nervous to continue, and I think that was right for me at the time.

Wishing everyone well for the rest of the day.

Sambucus · 30/03/2020 16:04

@GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit. May I join you in the dispirited club? D14 and fever every single day at some point, at least 37.7, sometimes higher. And cough that is more persistent.... been started on antibiotics but no improvement yet. Not sure if they will help. It does help to know I’m not the only one showing this pattern, so thank you for posting.

longshot · 30/03/2020 16:06

@onlinelinda welcome back, I’m glad you are improving.

I’ve been for a 10 min walk down the road and back and I’m still alive! Progress!

Gogoberry · 30/03/2020 16:20

TheDrsWife46 my work requires intense concentration in order to not make costly mistakes. Unfortunately I’m not capable of that right now. I’ve given up for the day and said I would make the time up later. My chest is tight, as if I’m wearing a top small bra but don’t know if I’m imagining it

GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 30/03/2020 16:23

@Sambucas snap. 37.7 here paracetamol doesn't seem to reduce it. Starting to wonder if I really still have this virus or if my immune system is overreacting some what.

ThisFineMap · 30/03/2020 16:30

I have chesty symptoms.

I keep telling myself that it's nothing and I'm imagining things.

For about 2.5 weeks, I have felt various sensations in my chest / lungs. A slight stabbing at times on the right hand side, then a tickle on the right hand side then nothing and bit of a sore throat but not much. The symptoms come and go.

It was better for a couple days but got more pronounced today. Not at all bad or anything but i can definitely feel 'stuff happening there'.

Could this be CV? Confused

TBh I'm quite sure I'm not imagining these sensations.

mymoonmyman2020 · 30/03/2020 16:31

Hi all, managed a bath today. Small victories! Felt pretty exhausted afterwards. Have strange weak shaky feeling as though blood sugar is low ...

GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 30/03/2020 16:56

Day 18 and my fever is up and my lungs are burning again. Starting to worry my immune system is overreacting and damaging my body.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 17:00

@GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit I know its frightening. Im only at day 8 and my lungs are particularly burning and im getting the cough now, perhaps go over the timelines of the other postwrs like @longshot @Cary2012 etc to reassure yourself that your likely to have viral fatigue etc now rather than a cytokine storm xxx

Casino218 · 30/03/2020 17:02

@ThisFineMap yes it could be - the Covid tracker app has more detail than 111 re symptoms

OP posts:
GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 30/03/2020 17:03

@TheDrsWife46 thank you so much for your kind words and I very much hope you feel better soon and in a shorter timeline. I am going to get up for a walk around the house. Hopefully it will improve my state of mind.

Standrewsschool · 30/03/2020 17:09

Just caught up with this thread and ‘encouraged’ to see that other people have had a high temperature for over two weeks. I’m day 16 and it actually feels more normal. I thought I was getting better after a week, and then seemed to go all lethargic again. Also developed a hacking cough which didn’t help, and is improving with antibiotics. I feel a slight fraud being of work for so long. In the last couple of years, a couple of days of work, and now two weeks in one sitting.

Casino218 · 30/03/2020 17:09

@GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit I read a report today that said in mild and moderate cases of CV you get full recovery with no lasting damage. In ICU cases then this is a more complex picture.

OP posts:
Casino218 · 30/03/2020 17:11

@Standrewsschool your no fraud. This virus is a mean one. My GP said expect full recovery to take 6 weeks minimum. Many of us are still experiencing symptoms at 3 weeks sometimes 4. Let alone recovery.

OP posts:
GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 30/03/2020 17:14

@Casino218 thank you

@Standrewsschool how long has your fever been going on?

Meercatmama · 30/03/2020 17:15

Hi Day 15 for me and have been up and dressed for the first time in 2 weeks Felt great this morning and managed to do some small bits around the house. Spent the afternoon sitting down as was having some chest pains and pain under my left shoulder. They are just starting to go. At least this is an improvement on previous days but expecting it to be different tomorrow.
