@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 00:52

The doctor says to told off on the diazepam for now and try Night Nurse all in one and piriton as it has chlorothenamine (sp) in it to help and to use my inhaler sparingly as the steroids will weaken my immune system. To use hot honey and lemon as much as possible to help. I keep taking panic attacks it's driving me insane. I have been shaking most of the night with it.

pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 00:55

I'm probably not going to be getting much sleep tonight I'm have been watching the telly till 3 am most nights when I can't settle tonight looks like one of those nights

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 00:55

@Gogoberry
Sorry to hear you are ill.
My son is on the shielded list too as he has a liver transplant. He isn't showing signs yet but I'm really worried.
Definitely get in touch with your Dr as they may assist you differently than those who are "healthy".

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 00:57

Yep, nights are the worst.
I've just done my first steam inhalation and I must say, it really helps.
My acid reflux is really playing up tonight and I've gone through a whole bottle of gaviscon in 6 days. I've ordered some more from Amazon but it won't be here till Wednesday.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 00:59

@pinkoneblueone ah okay I’m assuming that you haven't been able to read my previous posts. When I came on here I was practically hysterical as the fever/shivers/shakes etc at night were giving me panic. I rang 111 for permission to take diazempam I had left over from fear of flying.

Do you have some in the house or where you asking for it? My GP refused saying that its too dangerous as it slows the breathing. Yesterday I was hysterical on 111 begging them to knock me out.

Today Ive taken just 1 herbal kalms tablet to see if that has any affect before i risk the recommended dose of 4! I totally empathise with just wanting sleep but Im worried you make your breathing slower/shallower

stayathomegardener · 30/03/2020 01:00

Just in case this thread fills up overnight please tag us on the new one @Casino218

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 01:00

Ive been up to 3-4-5am most nights so im here. Unless the kalms kicks in!!!

EMichel102 · 30/03/2020 01:05

Yup here too but utterly exhausted and just want to sleep (but body telling me no due to not breathing normally)!

pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 01:05

I was prescribed them last week but when I went to collect them they had been sent off site so they will be back in the pharmacy tomorrow.

I begged for them too.

I think I have overdosed on Kalms and may have had 6 in 24 hrs. They haven't worked either way.

How did you get on with your diazepam?

pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 01:07

I haven't overdosed on them after all but they haven't worked

Gogoberry · 30/03/2020 01:07

KinderWild thanks. I’ve been taking paracetamol today and vitamin C for the last few weeks. It’s just the worry that’s keeping me up at the moment.

pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 01:12

Worry absolutely sucks, from experience.
Until we are over this in our house I won't be able to settle I have resigned myself to sleeping when I can/ when my body allows and watching crap telly all night.

EMichel102 · 30/03/2020 01:16

At least I just checked my pulse Oximeter app and it’s still good readings. Means whatever breathlessness we’re feeling isn’t too serious I guess which is reassuring.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 01:17

I’m worried about filling the thread up without a new one @pinkoneblueoneSad
I didnt take the diazepam I was too frightened. Ive taken 1 poxy kalms tablet.

pinkoneblueone · 30/03/2020 01:18

Sorry, yes I totally understand. I actually feel the same.

littleblackdress04 · 30/03/2020 01:30

Hi everyone - I can’t sleep either - breathing ok but just jittery and feeling poisoned - just watched a cheesy movie 🍿

baroqueandblue · 30/03/2020 01:35

I want to be able to sit up reading or watching telly but the pain makes it difficult to focus on much. So I've got background music on while I catch up on the thread and will probably try to sleep soon.

Not looking forward to speaking to the GP tomorrow, in case he gives me a hard time for asking for doxycycline. On the other hand, I've come across a few posts today in which people have mentioned already getting through a course of antibiotics and them not really helping. Perhaps mine hasn't turned into a bacterial infection and it actually is just the case that for some of us this manifests as intense pain that takes at least two weeks to heal? How would we even know, given the lack of testing and the bizarrely narrow criteria for what constitutes CV? I mean, I haven't read any public health info that acknowledges back, rib and diaphragmatic pain as integral symptoms. On the other hand, I'm struck by the number of people just on this thread who are struggling with seemingly chronic pain and discomfort in the upper body Confused Thank goodness we have each other to swap accounts with. I'm starting to feel a bit like we're part of a resistance or underground movement in a war..!

Anyway, hope you lovely night owls are finding some solace in whatever you're doing to get through the early hours. Here's a symbol of hope, and faith in the power to be led out of darkness Star

baroqueandblue · 30/03/2020 01:42

btw Emily, don't worry, anyone can start part 4 of the thread, it doesn't have to be the person who started this part. Handy to know in case @Casino218 isn't around when we get to p.40 Smile

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 01:44

Im still here but just dropped my phone twice hoping its the sleeping tablet kicking in! 👍🏻

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 01:44

Please do start it if need be. I cant function without it atm

baroqueandblue · 30/03/2020 01:53

Yes dropping your phone could be a really promising sign that you're relaxed enough to drop off! Fingers crossed 🤞

I don't mind starting the next part, except that I remember reading a few pages back a brief mention of amending the title. But I wasn't clear on why that was suggested Anyone know? I'm a bit hard of thinking at the moment!

MooPointCowsOpinion · 30/03/2020 02:05

Just commenting here as I can’t sleep either, feeling so rubbish and paramedics just left. Nothing to be done until I’m turning blue basically, so just trying to keep calm. Every time I fall asleep I wake myself up making this weird grunting breathing noise, no point sleeping!

DandyPenguin · 30/03/2020 02:10

I can’t sleep either.

Whoever starts a new thread, it’s best not to do it until on page 40 of this one. Thus one was stated while the first was on page 37 of 38 and people kept posting on the first one up until a few days ago.

Joeaj23 · 30/03/2020 02:14

The breathing issues at night seem to be very common. I assume it’s because our breathing slows down at night when trying to sleep and this causes our body to stop us falling asleep as we aren’t getting enough air.

I’ve come to realize that my anxiety was making it far worse than it actually was, while I am getting less oxygen than I used to it’s still enough. I have also accepted I won’t sleep before about 4 or 5 am any night so have basically become nocturnal

EMichel102 · 30/03/2020 03:04

@MooPointCowsOpinion that is exactly what happens to me too! Here’s to hoping I can sleep soon early am.
