If we are all well and symptom free, would it be acceptable to visit my 72 year old Mum on Sunday

To give her a card and spend some time with her before she begins isolation on Monday?

No . I’m going to FaceTime my DM on Sunday

We have bought a Kindle Fire for my DM much to her horror as she is resolutely against 'new fangled' stuff like that. We will be able to Skype her and she will have access to all the books we have ever read on Kindle. We will take it to her tomorrow and teach her how to work it then I will be telling her that I won't be visiting for the foreseeable future. She is not going to like this at all. She thinks we will all be popping in as we usually do. She just doesn't get how serious the threat to her life is.

No.
We are in our 60s and thankfully fairly fit but I have resigned myself to not seeing DS for the forseeable future as he is a teacher and his partner an A&E nurse. The last time I didn't see him for 3 months or more was for much nicer reasons, when he was on his year abroad.
Tough times.
