French health minister Olivier Véran a doctor made a tweet, against the use of Ibuprofenes and the likes,it was corroborated by doctors in C'est dans l'air yesterday (France 5 TV).
It's the only link between young patients (in their twenties) that are in need of intubation.

Right-pointing triangle We advise against having friends and family visit your home.

We strongly advise against this for people aged 70 and over, pregnant women, or anyone with underlying health conditions.

Govt is fast tracking an antibody test. This will allow persons to know if they have had the virus and have recovered. This is to allow the Nhs and essential workers to come out of self isolation.

Macron has told the nation he wants no company to be exposed to the risk of collapse as a result of the pandemic. He has also said gas, electricity and water bills are to be suspended – as are rents – and the state will guarantee companies’ loans with a €300bn package.

Beginning on Tuesday, people will only be allowed to leave home for strictly necessary reasons including to go shopping – while keeping a distance of one metre from anyone else – to get medical help and for work if it could not be done from home. Individual sporting activity will be allowed, but no collective sports.

Macron said the reinforced measures will be imposed for at least 15 days.

Australia and Italy are prioritising ‘healthy’ people with coronavirus over people with underlying health issues in ICU.

Germany closes places of worship, bars, restaurants, museums and cinemas

Angela Merkel has announced a raft of further drastic measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Germany, including the closure of places of worship, playgrounds and non-essential shops.

Speaking at a press conference in Berlin on Monday afternoon, the German chancellor issued new guidelines for restricting social gatherings. She said:

These are measures that we have never had in our country, but they are necessary to reduce the number of illnesses and severe illnesses and avoid overwhelming our health services.

The more individuals stick to these rules, the quicker we will get through this phase. The benchmark [for these measures] isn’t what we want to do, but what scientists tell us is the right response”.

MarshaBradyo · 16/03/2020 20:37

I wish we had those measures but I am glad UK is serious about the length of time we have to do this.

Janemarpling · 16/03/2020 20:37

The modellers are saying they are wrong? Its twice as bad as they thought?

Anyone watching?

Mazarinegreen · 16/03/2020 20:39

My DH is on anti tumour necrosing factor (anti TNF) biological therapy - adilimbub...we just don't know if this means he needs to self isolate or not - is all very confusing and I feel as if we are getting very mixed messages Sad

fedup21 · 16/03/2020 20:39

Anyone watching?

What are you watching?

Janemarpling · 16/03/2020 20:40

Sky news

colouringinpro · 16/03/2020 20:40

wish I was in france!

Justyou · 16/03/2020 20:42

Sorry if it’s already been discussed I’m a bit behind - but if it’s so hard to get tested if home isolating, how did Idris Elba get tested just for being in contact with someone.
It’s one of sky news main stories. 🤷‍♀️

colouringinpro · 16/03/2020 20:42

Made in and Merkel telling people to shut means business etc can claim on insurance. Johnson? He'd better and soon.

Calmonthesurfacebut · 16/03/2020 20:42

Teen Dd is due a blood test prior to a consultant appointment on 9th April, which I’m pretty sure will be cancelled.

I can get it done early tomorrow at a walk in, but do I take her? Still not sure she should go to school!

KenAdams · 16/03/2020 20:43

List is up (see Fannias post). I cannot believe hypertension isn't included.

mrshoho · 16/03/2020 20:45

@Mazarinegreen my dh is also on adalimumab for crohns plus type1 diabetes. From what I can see those needing to isolate will be contacted by their gp. He is working but drives in and is in an office on his own. He's self employed so wants to keep going in if he can but being careful. very worrying though.

Oakmaiden · 16/03/2020 20:45

@KenAdams - I think about 20% of the adult population has hypertension. They can't afford to lose that many workers...

Fannia · 16/03/2020 20:47

Yes kenadams I thought this was one of the dangerous conditions

DivisionBelles · 16/03/2020 20:49

From the .gov website. Makes the advice a little clearer

Confuddledtown · 16/03/2020 20:49

@SansaSnark Apparently there is precise advice going on the website, which is something.
What website is it going on please?

LottieBees19 · 16/03/2020 20:50

Surely parents should be allowed to take their children out of school if they can. My children are teenagers and both parents are home.
If the government allowed this it would allow schools to cope with less staff and reduce virus transmission.

PointlessUsername · 16/03/2020 20:50

From the list is that just Adults or Children with any of those conditions?.
