I'll reiterate. Lighthearted. Assuming medicines don't count (you have an unlimited amount and they've invented a way to administer medical need virtually)

I've only got half a bottle of wine left so that's shit. Maybe a small amount of vodka in the freezer.

We always have tons of pasta but there's little to have with it. Oh! Frozen spinach. That'd help a bit. Dd is parky so she would complain until eventually caving and eating the weird pasta spinach concontion.

We would run out of deodorant within 5 days so there will be lots of showers.

about 6 weeks though it would get very scant, boring and tasteless by the end presuming i'd run out of salt and herbs etc

TimeforanotherChange · 15/03/2020 17:23

Quite a while, I guess. Got a chest freezer that's probably 3/4 full and a fair amount of stuff in cupboards. I've just done my monthly shop last week but we could probably last 6 weeks or so.

Also, I have a garden full of nettles so could always make nettle soup.

Sparrowlegs248 · 15/03/2020 17:23

I think I could do a month of odd food combos. And I'd lose weight as his prioritise the 2 small children. Unexpected bonus.

I have NO Wine but about 3 litres of homemade BlackBerry gin and 2 litres of raspberry vodka.

Lordfrontpaw · 15/03/2020 17:23

As long as the coffee lasts I guess - but I have around 12 tins, so 12 weeks?

HoffiCoffi13 · 15/03/2020 17:23

2 weeks fairly comfortably. Could probably eke it out to three. There are 5 of us though including a baby so would be hard to have enough in stock for any longer than that.
I’ve only got 2 bottles of wine though. Plenty of gin, not much tonic!

ChrissieKeller61 · 15/03/2020 17:24

6 weeks maybe

fatisnotafeeling · 15/03/2020 17:24

Maybe about a week, I have a weeks shopping in and not too many reserves.

We have plenty of toiletries but I am 35 weeks pregnant and am very disorganised I have nothing for the baby at all.
Best get on that I think 😬😬.

Westfacing · 15/03/2020 17:25

I live alone, so a month(ish).

Assuming I'm allowed to nip across to the Coop for wine!

ScorpionQueen · 15/03/2020 17:25

About a month. But the dog will have to eat what we eat. He'd love it!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 15/03/2020 17:26

Assuming I'm allowed to nip across to the Coop for wine!

Nope. No nipping anywhere. Indoors til the word arrives it's safe to emerge.

A fair while, though meals would get 'interesting' after a few weeks! If I was at home when the 30 minute warning came, I'd dash to the Tesco nearby to buy more booze. 😂

BidieIn · 15/03/2020 17:27

Two, maybe three weeks. That Drambuie from two christmases ago needs drinking up.

Westfacing · 15/03/2020 17:29

In that case I'm heading over there now to stock up, before the 30 minutes is up!

I do have elderflower cordial - maybe that will suffice Hmm

No, I'm getting over to the Coop!

LouQoo · 15/03/2020 17:30

Well that gives me 29minutes to run to the shop to get some tonic water to go with my two bottles of gin Smile

We’d be ok for food, there’d end up being some odd concoctions but we’d be ok for about 4 weeks.

Also running out of deodorant. Let’s hope we don’t lock down over night so I’ve got time to get some tonic, deodorant and nice chocolates.

buzzswole · 15/03/2020 17:31

Less than a week.
I feel very underprepared in this situation, especially seeing the empty shelves in the shops

Hotwaterbottlelove · 15/03/2020 17:33

I've just seen that we have no paprika so we would be screwed. Life it's worth living without paprika.

That aside, I think we have 10 days worth but only if we consciously ate simple meals. We have no pasta Angry

aroundtheworldyet · 15/03/2020 17:33

I’m so glad I bought a sofa stream last year. I ordered 4 bottles of gin on amazon. Couldn’t order toilet roll. Thought this was the second best option

aroundtheworldyet · 15/03/2020 17:33

Soda stream even!!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 15/03/2020 17:34

Yes you can use the 30min warning to do a quick dash.....though everyone else will be doing the same no doubt.

aroundtheworldyet · 15/03/2020 17:34

I’m thinking of doing a majestic order!

SofieSarah · 15/03/2020 17:35

Twelve weeks at least without any more deliveries. If you’d told me a couple weeks ago that DH and I would seriously be discussing whether we’d go out again before the AUTUMN equinox, I wouldn’t have believed it.

Westfacing · 15/03/2020 17:36

No paprika, no pasta - what sort of housewife are you? Shock

I assume you have wine.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 15/03/2020 17:36

Netflix will be going mad. Hope they've got the infrastructure to handle 60mil attempting to watch at the same time.

Sofacat · 15/03/2020 17:36

I’m low on sugar and can’t (won’t) drink tea without it, so I am not going to last long ! Food wise , I reckon I’ve got enough for about 2 weeks, this would include eating all the escaped peas and sweet corn rattling around at the bottom of the freezer Grin

Kahlua4me · 15/03/2020 17:37

We could manage for about 4 weeks at a push I think.

Bought 2 boxes of wine today and made sloe gin last year so that’s ready to drink. When they have all gone we can start emptying the drinks cupboard, loads of bottles that have been untouched for 20 years!!

Food wise we are fine, fridge and freezer are full and we have plenty In the cupboards of rice and pasta etc. May have to make bizarre combinations as time goes on but that’s ok..
