@BirdandSparrow wish my dd was older or even younger lol 😂 would love to do fun things like that maybe I can do a simple version? It sounds fun glad your kids enjoyed it and your having a chill day.

Near you? I think in my village they'd be denounced to the policia local. They are very law abiding on the whole.

BirdandSparrow · 24/03/2020 13:05

How old is your DD? Mine is 9 in May.

Nameisthegame · 24/03/2020 13:05

I’ve asked my sister if she has any info on the poem.

I can see them from my window. But they might have moved or gone into the bushes more.

My dd is only 2, 3 in August. She’s going a bit stir crazy going to have some exercise, long shower, nap then maybe another balloon party since I blew up 6 balloons yesterday. Only just convinced her to get dressed an hour ago lots of tantrums and naughty things happening at my 80 2m. Flat.

My friend does preschool dance classes in bristol, but they're online now. I'll find the link if I can. She might like it?

I have friends in the US that are terrified with Trumps message. That man is such a monumental dickhead.

I also think UK people will take the piss with the exercise cause. I also think a lot of people think they are key workers when they aren't. MIL said SIL is still going to work because she does admin. She could do it at home. She will also be at the at risk category because she is grossly overweight. People are just being so reckless.

The streets are empty here, the odd person I have seen walking by have had face masks on.
The DC are making a big den in one of their rooms, gave them a lot of sheets and pegs to help. Keeps them busy.

I fear people will start disobeying more as the weather gets better especially those with interior flats, I have a conservatory type balcony which is tiny but atleast I have freash air and a sort of view.

The UK seems such a shambles. I don't know about where all of you are, but here in Andalucía everything just stopped. Pretty much immediately. People who didn't need to shut did, like hairdressers at the beginning were exempt, but loads just shut.
Maybe Spaniards/Andaluces were just a lot more scared? So many people seem to be carrying on as normal in the UK even now. I don't get it.

Nameisthegame · 24/03/2020 16:56

Everything shut two days before official lockdown but I’m in a pretty poor neighborhood with one or two drug dealers but if it was the same sort of place in the uk there would be havoc despite there being lots of kids I’ve maybe seen two older kids this whole time walking dogs or throwing out trash

I'm on the outskirts of Barcelona. Everything shut here too. The thing is here you have an order and the Mossos will deal with it if you don't follow those orders. The UK has a PM asking, not telling, even now he's put in loopholes, and the UK police don't have the respect, even a bit of fear, like the mossos do.

I agree that the UK doesn't seem to understand the gravity of this. They don't really have clear leadership so I'm not surprised. Bozo was on about not dithering and delaying when it came to Brexit, yet all he's done with Coronavirus is dither and delay. It's a joke, he's totally unequipped to deal with this and that idiot Cummings is pulling his strings. Shocking state of affairs.
Thankfully Mine and DH's parents are taking it seriously after we had some strong talks with them a couple of weeks ago.

I’m quickly finding the mass hysteria of british mumsnet people tiresome, a lot of them even had gardens! I would kill for a garden at this point. Luckily my friend with a kid the same age is level head and get it but mumsnet calm down chill out and put your screens on.

I think that's it. BJ saying you "should" stay at home isn't the same as the whole country being declared in a state of alert and being told they CAN'T go out. It was made clear very quickly what you couldn't do and what the consequences would be and then backed up by fines.
Nobody is in any doubt, are they?
Also, it seems to me, maybe just because the numbers are higher, that people here are more scared than the UK and taking it more seriously. I don't see anyone questioning that the quarantine is necessary, or too strict. Half the population of the UK seems to think social distancing is optional or not understand what it involves.
Maybe that's not their fault, I mean it freaks me out a bit to go to the supermarket, all the lines on the floor tellign you where to satnd, everyone in masks, limits on how many can go in, reduced opening hours, being made to wear gloves. It freaked me out at first, but rammed it home how serious things were.

Nameisthegame · 24/03/2020 18:16

I think I’m just a grumps today, my ex hasn’t paid any maintenance in ages and now and it’s unlikely anything is going to happen for a long time now. On the upside at least atleast ai have dd
