Name we were there in the summer on a our road trip from Seville to Galicia. Loved Galicia. The plan is to go back at the end of June. Hope we can.

I've only been out in the village since lockdown. There are people around but obviously only buying food etc.

Went to Día today for some soap and came back with mini muffins, cheese and ice cream as well. Felt we needed cheering up.

One of my regular agencies sent me a small job today, so that helps me feel a tiny bit calmer.

How's everyone? Italy is getting hit really really hard. I read that it has a very old population and that partly accounts for the figures :(

M ex is giving me shit for taking dd out but he doesn’t have to live with a toddler. I get that he is scared but he can’t dictate what we do. I literally drenched a screaming toddler while forcing her to wash her hands.

Also forgetting that it’s fathers day . I don’t understand why we can’t just do English Father’s Day I say it every year, his birthday is this month he doesn’t need two celebrations. I said we will call but apparently he’s at work.

I got out today, had to go r-i-g-h-t down the other end of town to my bank to get a new bank card, mine expires end of March! Delightfully helpful and super polite in la Caixa, can't fault them.

Then to Mercadona for food, it's groaning in produce! Got a box of disposable gloves, there were loads.

Came home via the main square and whatsapped my friend so she could say hi from her balcony felt a bit naughty! I was out 2 hours and didn't see a single copper. Although hey were out this morning at rush hour, double-checking traffic.

Someone was stopped at the out of town shopping area (giant Carrefour, media market, cinemas etc) and although she was carrying shopping bags with good, couldn't prove she'd just bought them do was fined €100 I suppose to prevent people going for a walk carrying a tin of beans. So when you do your shop be sure to keep hold of your receipt.

I've just downloaded an app to make stop-motion videos with DS, its name escapes me, but I'll have a look in the morning if anyone's interested.

I've just been invited by an English friend to join a FB group full of helpful ideas and tips to keep kids occupied. It's fantastic, people are offering free set classes, sign language, keep fit ideas for kids - I've only just skimmed the surface and have an A4 page of ideas already! I had to go to my workplace and run some personal errands no one stopped me luckily as I don’t generally keep receipts but I won’t be leaving the house again until this is over now. Just got some of the nastiest messages from my ex saying how stupid I was for going out (took every precaution) etc etc then he informed me he was taking screen shots to show our kid when she’s older. Wow

I've had a weird wobble this morning day 6 suddenly feels like day 600!

But I wanted to come on and say thank you so much everyone for all your sharing of information, thoughts, guinea pig photos and general awesomeness. Its a wonderful connection that makes me feel less cut off.

Muy buenas! I've been lurking in here from Sevilla. I love your window @elQuintoConyo, our flat is interior so we can't stick any nice pictures on our windows for everyone to see. We were decorating the azotea with chalks for any helicopters or drones but I've since heard we're not really allowed up there :-( and could be fined if a neighbour was to report us.
On a positive note, I opened the windows this morning and I could smell fresh air, I'd say pollution has definitely dropped.

@elQuintoConyo great sign! Yeah I obviously had a wobble last night after a barrage of messages from my ex who I’ve now blocked. Definitely feels longer especially since I couldn’t go out Sunday and that the parks were shut from Saturday.

I’m so happy so many people have joined me ! I often feel pretty isolated in Spain so it’s awesome having so many people to speak with 😊

I definitely think the air seems fresher, we havent seen any wild animals yet but I doubt we will here. How is the situation in Seville?

I'm near Seville. Things seem pretty quiet, from what I can tell, trapped in the house..hahaha. I think Seville is respecting the quarantine on the whole. I did read an article on ABC about the "barrrios marginados" not respecting it as much, like in the 3000 viviendas (massive sink estate in Seville), but the ABC is a bit facha so....I then read another thing on ABC (I think someone sent me somethign via whatsapp from ABC and I read it and now stuff keeps popping up on my phone from ABC) saying even in poor/"difficult" neighbourhoods they were observing quarantine. So...who knows?

Spain: death toll surpasses 1,000
More than 1,000 people have now died in Spain from coronavirus, according to the Spanish government.

Spain’s Ministry of Health released figures on friday recording that there are 19,980 people infected, with 1,141 admitted to the intensive care units and 1,002 dead.

Fernando Simón, director of the Ministry’s Health Emergency Coordination Centre has warned that “the data is very likely to underestimate reality.”
