@expatinspain hi 👋 it’s so sad to hear that so many teachers are having problems I’m hoping the government will stand up for all the working people in this country.

I’m just trying to work on some logo work but sadly it’s unpaid. Fingers crossed business might want to relaunch strong but I doubt it. My kid was going to finally going to nursery this month 😭

DH is beavering away at any translation he can get, working whacky hours.
My teaching not up and running yet, it's getting frustrating.
Making hello signs for our window, and flowers - ds made a snail, hopefully cheer up the neighbours!

BillieEilish · 17/03/2020 15:22

@nameisthegame Shock

So sorry for all the teachers.

Raining here, hope everyone is feeling ok. I'm a bit depressed!

elQuintoConyo · 17/03/2020 15:22

expatinspain · 17/03/2020 15:39

NameisthegameHi 👋🏼. Fingers crossed. My Spanish friend just sent me a message asking me if I had seen the news regarding workers today, so maybe something has been announced! I haven’t had the TV on yet today, as I’m trying to do other things rather than sofa and TV 😁

Nameisthegame · 17/03/2020 16:38

I've got police cars with loud speakers in Gandia, telling you to get back in you homes now (but nobody is out) Shock

Going to face shop tomorrow now, we had enough to last us today, but have to go tomorrow.

I feel really anxious.

BirdandSparrow · 17/03/2020 17:23

DH is in Mercadona now. Says i's stripped bare.

The local police turned up this afternoon and threw them all out of the call centre. Nobody knows what's going on or if they still have a job.

Today has been shit.

BillieEilish · 17/03/2020 17:29

Oh Lord! I am so sorry @birdandsparrow.

I'll be stripping the shelves for booze tomorrow no doubt.

It's all bad news.

expatinspain · 17/03/2020 17:29

Nameisthegame Must be that. I’ll watch the news this evening and see if I can find out definitively what this means for me. Hopefully my boss is on this too!!

PotsOfPebbles · 17/03/2020 17:34

On the local news, it's translated but you get the gist. Basically, you will fall in line or you're in deep shit.

Offenses against the protection of citizen security

A fine of 100 to 600 euros for those who remove fences or other elements that the police have set to delimit security perimeters.

A fine of 601 to 30,000 euros for disobedience or resistance to the authority, as well as all those who refuse to identify themselves.

Offenses against public health

A fine of € 3,001 to € 60,000 for people who conduct behaviors that may pose a risk to the health of the population.

A fine of 60,001 to 600,000 euros for those behaviors that pose a very serious risk to the health of the population or in case of repeated breaches.

Offenses against the civil protection system

Fine of 30,001 to 600,000 euros in case of non-compliance with orders, prohibitions or instructions that endanger the safety of the people.

Offenses against the criminal code

Penalties from three months to a year in prison or a fine of six to eighteen months in case of severe resistance or serious disobedience to the authority

In Barcelona I've seen videos shared by friends of people getting fined.

BillieEilish · 17/03/2020 17:41

Nameisthegame · 17/03/2020 18:18

@BirdandSparrow ohh that’s Terrible! I’m sorry maybe one of the employees reported but it sounded like a bad situation all around.

I looked out the window a short while ago and the police with lights on were just slowly driving round the neighborhood.
