I don’t know why people are determined to think we’re already at the stage of widespread community transmission in the uk. We would be seeing increased unexplained serious cases if that were happening. So either we don’t have it or there is a new, much milder strain circulating.
It's possible it's spreading amongst younger people who are taking public transport to work or mingling in schools, socializing as normal. As they are young they don,t have severe symptoms. So it goes unnoticed.
Italy only got wise when one 38 yr old man became very ill and was tested. They then realized their hospitals were already full of infected elderly some with other illnesses as well as corona.
If it is spreading amongst our young we will only realize when either one of them becomes unusually sick or, they start infecting their grandparents and cases surge in hospitals.
