@Oakmaiden 3.4%, however initially the death rate was high as people didn't know what they were dealing with/how to treat it. As the Chinese have gained an understanding of the disease, and testing has become more widespread, deathrate estimates have come down.
@Ciwirocks Again, I think the death rate is higher at the start of the outbreak as doctors are treating a new disease, and there is confusion about seeking treatment etc. Over the coming weeks, I think we can expect to see the deathrate in European countries coming down. However, it's very likely to still be higher than China's as we have an older population. It's also to do with how many people are being tested. It's very likely there are more cases in France and Italy than are being caught by testing.
