Tests generally are not 100% reliable. They can also test for different things - the virus itself, or antibodies that might only be created after the virus takes hold in response to it, or antigens that might appear first of all. What does the COVID-19 test actually test for?
Although I haven’t seen the detail, there has also been mention of people contracting it twice...what’s that all about?
I do think that regardless the test will eventually not be worth doing. It will also be interesting to see if stats for flu go up as cases that might otherwise have gone unreported are now officially diagnosed when testing for CV.
