Doesn’t look like there will be much land left for the Palestinians.

And in other news, from the Guardian:

“Israel’s defence minister has said he is committed to the ethnic cleansing of Gaza through large-scale migration of Palestinians as part of Israel’s long-term plans for the territory.
Israel Katz said the government would implement a plan for large numbers of Palestinians to leave Gaza “at the right time and in the right manner”, in a statement on Wednesday marking the targeted killing of Mohammed Odeh, Hamas’s most recent military commander.
Pushing for mass departures violates Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan for Gaza, which Israel signed last year. The second point of the plan states: “Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough.”
Israel’s government has promoted the prospect of Gaza without Palestinians since Trump suggested early last year that hundreds of thousands of people should leave to “clean out” the strip for reconstruction.
Last year Israel set up a bureau for “voluntary emigration” and eased travel restrictions for Palestinians who wanted to make a one-way journey out of the strip.
The forced transfer of civilian populations is a war crime and a crime against humanity. Israeli officials, including Katz, use the term “voluntary migration” to describe their ”

I agree it is
but no one has done that on here

@RedTagAlan s post is not holocaust inversion

Yes it is but I’m not reporting it because I have discovered it’s better to leave antisemitic posts visible so they can be reported more widely than just to MN mods.

Im leaving now because when people start drawing comparisons to the Holocaust the conversation is over as far as I’m concerned.

More than 75 Lebanese children killed or injured over past week
An average of 11 children have been killed or injured every 24 hours in Lebanon in the last week, according to Unicef.
A total of 77 children have been struck by attacks over the past seven days, the children’s humanitarian aid group reported.
Since the ceasefire began in April between Israel and Lebanon, 55 children have been killed, and 212 injured, according to the agency.
Ricardo Pires, a spokesman for Unicef, described the toll as “staggering

The blame lies squarely with Hamas.

Let's all calm down and attend to our own country 's problems - of which we have plenty - and stop pretending we know what is happening in far away countries with complicated histories. How is this our problem in the UK? We just seem to make matters worse when we interfere where we're not asked or wanted. Isn't all the concern of British citizens about Palestine just a bit of a colonial hangover?

It’s simply a weapon with which to beat the ‘right’ over the head.

We all know it.

By definition it’s worth noting that the United Nations do not cite the need for a people to have to leave their own country for ethnic cleansing still to occur

‘ The Core Definition
The term "ethnic cleansing," as defined by the United Nations, is the purposeful policy of rendering an area ethnically homogeneous by using force or intimidation to remove a specific group from a geographic area. 1]
A core geographical and historical reality highlights why this is possible:
Internal Displacement (IDPs)
Those being cleansed do not necessarily need to cross international borders or find asylum in another country to be ethnically cleansed. Perpetrators can simply force a population out of their homes and confine them to specific ghettos, detention camps, or internal zones within the borders of the same country. Because these individuals are still trapped in their home nation, they are legally classified as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) rather than refugees, but the act of cleansing the territory is still fully achieved. 1]
Lack of an International Destination
The refusal or inability of neighboring countries to absorb a displaced population is a tragic reality in many global conflicts, but it does not stop perpetrators from clearing targeted lands. If a neighbouring country closes its borders, the targeted group may become trapped in a militarised, besieged, or unliveable enclave rather than crossing into safety.’

Hopefully if people understand the true definition and see the reality of what is going on in Gaza and the West Bank
we, as outsiders, will understand more and our leaders will do something to stop it
Sticking our head in the sand and denying will bring about more death and suffering

Completely agree. The refusal to see what is right in front of their noses is baffling. The definition is clear the evidence of it being done is clear.

Exactly. When you have 2 reputable news articles printed on the same day, from opposite sides of the pond telling you exactly the same thing, that ethnic cleansing is happening, people would rather tell you that it’s hate against Israel rather than look at the facts.

I didn't realise Hamas were in Lebanon murdering children, that is shocking.

Could you share the news articles about that I would be interested to read more

What on earth has Hamas got to do with Lebanon? Think you are either being weirdly sarcastic, or you have seriously mixed up your Hezbollah from your Hamas. Either way, I think you’ll find the will find that these kids were most likely killed by Israel.

In case you are not sure, this was from CNN today.

Israeli attacks have killed or injured 11 children daily in Lebanon, UNICEF says

By Sana Noor Haq and Eyad Kourdi

A paramedic volunteer lays a body on a stretcher, during a funeral procession in the southern port city of Tyre, Lebanon, on Friday, May 29. The bodies belonged to a family of six killed in an Israeli strike.
Mohammed Zaatari/AP
Israel’s offensive in Lebanon has killed or injured 11 children a day on average in the last week, the UN children’s agency (UNICEF) said today, highlighting the toll on civilians in the country.
Over the last seven days, 77 children have been killed or injured, UNICEF spokesperson Ricardo Pires told reporters in Geneva on Friday, citing figures from Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health.
Most were killed or wounded by airstrikes in south Lebanon, he said. In total, at least 55 children have been killed and 121 wounded since April 17, when Washington ordered a ceasefire to come into effect between Israel and Lebanon. Hezbollah is not a party to the truce.
Israeli officials have hardened their rhetoric in recent days and on Thursday, forces struck Beirut following attacks in the south and in the Bekaa Valley.
The Israeli military said it struck “more than 135 Hezbollah targets” on Thursday. Early Friday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 19 attacks on Israeli army posts.
In total, Israeli strikes on Lebanon have killed 3,355 people and injured another 10,095 residents since March 2, the Lebanese health ministry reported Friday.

Yet again (depressingly) this thread proves the mental gymnastics people will perform to defend Israel’s right to keep on killing innocent civilians (mostly women and children).

Have Hamas laid down their weapons yet and left Gaza? Have the Gazan’s clearly said they want peace and are happy to work with the Israelis to achieve it?

Neither side are sticking to the terms of the ceasefire agreement. A "ceasefire" that has killed 900 civilians.

But explain why any of that means Israel can ethnically cleanse Palestinians in Gaza?

The post under yours literally proves the point.

I wonder how anyone can justify the yellow line moving 11% in a few months. . Brings the population density to around 16000 per square kilometer (the UK has around 289) So how much further into Gaza can this yellow line go.

“Mostly women and children” have you ever stopped to wonder why that is? That during war somehow the men fighting miraculously don’t get killed? Hamas spews propaganda and you just believe it

They dropped massive bombs on tented villages and schools and cafes and used targeted drone strikes on residential buildings. Double tapped medics and shot children.

From Sky news:

Gaza: About 70% of people killed in the war are women and children, UN says
The highest number of verified deaths was among children aged between five and nine years old, according to the UN's Human Rights Office.

And from the BBC, incase you don’t trust sky:

The UN's Human Rights Office has condemned the high number of civilians killed in the war in Gaza, saying its analysis shows close to 70% of verified victims over a six-month period were women and children.
The agency said the high number was largely due to Israel's use of weapons with wide-area effects in densely populated areas

Nobody addresses why the other Arab nations supposedly outraged about Palestinians doesn't take them in. Yasser Arafat actually an Egyptian by birth moves to Jordan with his Palestinians and they try to overthrow the King of Jordan and were expelled. Went to Lebanon where they started a civil war with the Christian population. Went to Kuwait where they were expelled for supporting Sadam Hussein. The Egyptians have built a huge wall to keep the Palestinians out which nobody talks about. They had their own problems with the Hamas offshoot The Muslim Brotherhood who took office some 15 years ago and were removed by the military. No way they want Hamas in Egypt. The Arab countries like Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain want to attract tourism and integrate with the US and the West. They don't want crazy Islamists.
