"Food security in Gaza has improved since the ceasefire declared in October, pushing back famine conditions, but the situation remains critical with more than three-quarters of the population still facing acute hunger and malnutrition, a new UN-backed analysis has found." This is from the United Nations. They no longer have famine conditions. Hopefully, these will never return.
Food is getting in. I don't dispute their are lots of problems with distribution but food is getting in and the people are thankfully not starving.
"Throughout the war, Israel, the United Nations, humanitarian organizations, and independent experts have often reached different conclusions about Gaza's humanitarian situation.
In August 2025, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) concluded that famine conditions were present in parts of Gaza under its "reasonable evidence" methodology. Israeli officials strongly disputed those findings, arguing that key elements of the IPC assessment—particularly mortality estimates—relied on inference rather than sufficiently transparent data.
Since then, the humanitarian picture has changed considerably.
Following the October 2025 peace deal, humanitarian aid entering Gaza increased substantially. Israel argues that expanded food deliveries, declining market prices, improved water access, and increased medical assistance demonstrate that famine conditions have eased.
Humanitarian organizations generally agree that conditions improved following the ceasefire. However, they continue to warn that widespread destruction, displacement, damaged infrastructure, and ongoing distribution challenges leave many Palestinians vulnerable to severe food insecurity."
I merely pointed out that some countries have acute famine whilst food in entering Gaza. UNRWA are working hard to ensure that not only will Palestinians get food but also other aid as is correct.
I often wonder why people find it hard to accept that there are many peoples suffering from food insecurity or for some famine across the globe. There are many agencies/charities attempting to distribute aid across a large number of countries. I know some don't like to discuss the ongoing famine in other countries but sadly they exist.
