I saw one point of view (just on SM) that the 10 point plan was put forward by Iran a couple of weeks ago and rejected. Then Trump made the comments about a “whole civilisarion will die tonight” and gave a deadline. And as the deadline came, Trump had no way out so to save face he says he grabbed on to the 10 point plan and claimed victory. Sounds about right

US now criticising Iran for not managing SoH well ie Iran not letting tankers through because Israel bombing Lebanon

I don't know if anyone has seen the LEGO figure propaganda insta videos from Iran? It is mocking the US and Israel, they are really clever, funny and effective. This is a serious propaganda win for Iran as it is making them look like the clever ones to be trusted. Many people especially young people are falling for them. There is so much damage being done that goes well beyond the bombs.

Yep have seen them all. It's a massive propaganda win because they are all over social media.. also the tweets about losing the keys and changing the time. I imagine they are part of the reason for the many meltdowns

If we can move on from social media enjoyment of LEGO propaganda and making nasty insinuations about the wives of powerful men (see also: Queen Katherine before she revealed her cancer diagnosis and Brigitte Macron) it would be nice to go back to discussing the serious topic of the war in Iran.

I think we hold America to a higher standard than Iran and expect better. What America is doing is making things even worse for civilians not better, they are extremely unlikely to change the regime. So why have they done it? No one has benefited as far as I can see, it’s all down side

There is such hatred of Trump and Netanyahu that on SM, people will enjoy the videos mocking them, and hope that it might make them see sense

It doesn't appear that people hold Iran to any standards at all if they are chuckling at the LEGO propaganda of a regime that murders thousands of their own people for protesting and has a terrible reputation on human rights against women and gay people for example.

And it doesn't mean that people support the IRGC

Ofcourse plenty of people on MN had no problem with the videos Trump posted.

They have utilized a powerful tool in social media and capitalised on it. Trump has used it on so many occasions (Obama's as monkeys , dropping poo on protesters etc) that to use it in the exact same way is really going to drive him mad. Especially as they are putting ideas such as Hegseth as a drunk and Trump being under Netanyahu thumb and putting them into mainstream.

It's also a very important discussion point because it shows that the Iranian regime is not showing weakness or cowering which Trump presumed they would when they attacked and the rhetoric that he is showing in his posts is not working.

As usual the disclaimer this doesn't mean I agree with them (Iran) or support the regime but discussing them is not without merit.

Were we complimenting Trump and his propaganda team and using positive words like clever, funny and effective? I think not.

If you don't support the IRGC then maybe stop buying into their propaganda as a harmless joke just because they use LEGO characters or whatever.

They are a proscribed terrorist organisation in many countries, they are not harmless content creators for people to enjoy on social media.
