None of that would stop Hezbollah or Hamas from wanting to destroy Israel, unfortunately.

At least Iran are being transparent for once that Hezbollah are linked to them. Normally they prefer to distance themselves from their terrorist proxy groups.

IDF can be very clever in targeting when they choose to - maybe a bit more of that - more hands blown off by exploding pagers, more drone strikes instead of missiles/bombs, more patience

I see that the Pakistani Ambassador to the US has confirmed in a CNN interview, that Lebanon is part of the ceasefire deal. An oil market researcher Rory Johnston has wittily named it “Schrödinger’s ceasefire.” I'm with Rory on that.

So to get back to answering @TooBigForMyBoots' question, I think that there's little Trump can do if he doesn't have a time machine can't get Israel to comply with the terms of the ceasefire or get Iran to take it off the table.

I am making the point that historically states label their enemies as terrorists. It doesn’t mean the states are on the “right” side.
