To think UN should now be in Gaza as a peacekeeping force

ArtfulGoldWriter · 23/07/2025 20:03

Seriously, when even the Daily Express are even calling mass forced starvation and putting pictures like this on their front pages.

Surely the UN could act as a peacekeeping force and stop this insanity?

Its obscene.

I repeat: we have and we did.

You aren't pestering anyone else for the sources they use?

Someone asked me and because they debate politely, I answered them. My CHOICE. No one is obliged to answer anything on here.

If someone says 'No!' 'Just NO!' we are going to be reminded of that God awful tweet from Dawn. I'd suggest not channelling her, it didn't go down well.

First, there were no exclamation points in my quote. I wasn't quite so animated. It was more of a 'does Gloriia seriously think we're buying what she's selling?'

AzraiL · 01/08/2025 10:31

Gloriia · 01/08/2025 10:25

Oh are they? 'Sick of hearing' about the terrorists who caused all this. I mean yes, it is a tad inconvenient I grant you.

I'm a bit sick of hearing about 'someone said' Drs like Dr Maynard but we have to allow these people to share their opinions.

Yup. Totally sick of hearing about it. I'm sure you'll cope

It wasn’t me that said ‘No’ 🤷‍♀️😇

Still waiting to hear where you get all of your information from.

If you were 'that person'? His name is Rom Braslavski.

People like me do not justify the mass murders that terrorists committed on Oct 7th or the malnutrition that is widespread due to terrorists in gaza.

No mention of the footage of Rom on tv this a.m? Surely someone will mention him?!

I’ve asked Gloriia because she’s repeatedly made claims without saying where her info comes from- unlike others who’ve been transparent or responded when asked. If there’s nothing to hide, I’m not sure why the question keeps being dodged. Especially when she’s so active on other posts and has time to make jokes about Dawn French so frequently.

In a discussion so focused on facts and credibility, it’s not unreasonable to ask people where they’re getting their information from.

'Sick of hearing about hamas and Oct 7th'. Well done to state quite clearly what many other skirt around. Don't talk about the Oct murders! we're so bored of it🥱, don't mention those naughty terrorists hamas, we are so bored of them too.

We're all a 'bit sick' of hamas that's why they need to surrender, release the hostages <are you a bit sick of them too?> and allow gazans to live in peace.

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 01/08/2025 10:40

Just sharing here in case anyone would like to follow- I’ve started a thread in Philosophy & Religion called “One Child a Day: Remembering Gaza’s Children.”

It’s not for debate or politics- just a space to share the names, ages, and brief stories of children who’ve been killed in Gaza. One post per day, to honour their memory.

You’re welcome to read quietly, follow, or post your own if you’d like. 🕯️

Any mention of the hostages both alive or murdered?

I presume the Bibas family are on your list, they of course were murderd in Gaza.

LemondrizzleShark · 01/08/2025 10:44

So better to kill them now, to prevent them growing up to be terrorists?

edit: and the post I was replying to has been removed, so this now makes no sense. To be clear, I was arguing against somebody trying to justify the famine

But will someone also acknowledge that his parents have spoken out about how they are being ignored by the Israeli government?

That the hostages are being used as pawns by their own government & its agenda?

No one has been asked to the best of my knowledge apart from me, Sharon and Gloria.

We don't have to answer! If you are curious where posters are getting their sources from, then ask everyone or it looks like you are only targeting pro Israel posters and then hounding them to answer when they are choosing not to.

Yes, the Bibas children’s deaths were horrific.

I will also be working my way through the other estimated 15,000-18,000 children killed in Gaza- each one deserves to be remembered

I’m not hounding anyone- I just find it illuminating that she appears to have no sources to back up her claims.

As I’ve said repeatedly:

If someone were making outlandish anti-Israel claims, I would also want them to provide sources for those claims.

You have said this before and I have replied to you on this before which you have ignored and just continue to repeat the fabrication in language.

Dr Maynard was clear that it was reported to him by his doctors on duty in the hospital he was working in. It wasn't a "someone said" situation. I am unsure if you are familiar with hospitals, particularly emergency departments, but there are update briefings daily between doctors and staff about what has come in, in terms of injuries etc. It was officially reported to him by his doctors on what injuries they were dealing with, are they lying?

Gloriia · 01/08/2025 17:38

Another 'British Doctor' on Sky news. Lots of testimony about what others had seen and had told her. Funny that, it's almost as if they'd know she would come home and tell all the these stories on the news. She didn't go to distribution sites though, no. Not even to at least view from a distance.

She didn't have any stories to tell about the hostages sadly, nor had ever seen hamas despite having free range of the hospital which seemed to surprise her. I mean, I don't know but I think they're busy in tunnels and maybe don't hang out in hospital waiting rooms. If they do theyll be dressed as civiliians and maybe don't have a hamas lanyard on?

These doctors are all the same, so keen to tell stories others have fed them but not a peep about hostages or any criticism of hamas.

Isn’t that actually the point?

she is trying to get the message out because all foreign media is unable to report what’s happening in Gaza properly.

I worked closely with someone who worked in humanitarian communications for Save the children and it’s actually what they do. Report from war zones SECOND HAND when all other communication channels break down.

Jesus.

The point is these doctors tell all these second and third had stories but don't even mention the hostages or criticise hamas. Why?

'Oh we didn't see those hamas folk nooo'. It's a bit remiss that journalists don't push them on this. Just a simple 'there's apparently 50 hostages still in gaza what do you think of that' would be refreshing. Bit one sided, no?

But what if she hasnt ACTUALLY seen any hostages or Hamas?

What if this idea that Hamas is running all the hospitals isn’t actually true? Or factual?

What if she is just reporting what she sees/ hears and that not all people that go into Gaza are fucking Hamas representatives?

Gods sake. Maybe she’s just a doctor wanting to treat ill people and children?

Not everyone are terrorist supporters as it’s constantly represented. Some medical people are there because they want to help.

If a journalist was interviewing (for example) a doctor who treated a hostage who had been released after a harrowing time in captivity held by Hamas, or seen them after they were murdered by Hamas, would you expect them to be asked every time what they thought of the thousands of Palestinians killed so far? I would think that would be insensitive and thoughtless. Both ways.

ArtfulGoldWriter · 01/08/2025 18:46

The other thing to say is that say you work for Medicins San frontiers- you do it because you want to help people as per the hipocratic oath. You don’t get to choose which war zone you go to.

This idea that medical doctors are
politucally motivated and Hamas supporters is horseshit.

And I work widely in International development and aid work.

Do you know what’s also so very funny. Absolutely every single doctor interviewed coming out of Gaza is absolutely horrified by what Israel is doing; they talk of children ripped to shreds by bombs, the high number of children who have had a limb amputated, of people dying because medication is not available, the signs of starvation they are seeing now.

No matter the nationality or background of the doctor who work their experiences are strikingly similar.

The British doctor should be neutral. She is a self professed 'humanitarian' so of course should offer concern for the hostages too.

More distressing images released today of another hostage Evyatar David. Emaciated in the tunnels.

Gloriia · 01/08/2025 19:34

'This idea that medical doctors are politucally motivated and Hamas supporters is horseshit.'

Well you'd think so yet the last 3 'British doctors' haven't shared an opinion on the suffering of the hostages and all 3 have been like 'oh hamas never seen them' and that's the end of that conversation. What is 'horseshit' about what I've said?
