Iran's main news channel just reported that all 3 nuclear sites were cleared months ago, so small mercies.

Depending on the damage Iran will have to respond as it's an act of war. It's allies in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen are on standby but won't move unless Iran is in mortal danger.

Let's hope that it was just a symbolic strike by Trump 🤞 then the response to America will be limited.

Lookner is reporting that in Israel Home front command are changing civil defence to "essential activity only" - they're basically going into lickdown.

Apparently Fordow got 6 bunker bombs, and another site got Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from submarines, according to a US reporter.

A nuclear armed Iran is as much threat to the world as the currently nuclear armed Israel. At least Iran does not have a stated policy of the Samson Option as Israel does.

The Telegraph: Donald Trump has threatened to launch further strikes on Iran if it does not immediately make peace.

“Future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier,” the US president said in an address to the nation following the US attack on three of the country’s nuclear sites.

He added: “There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days. Remember there are many targets left.”

Earlier, Mr Trump said the US had attacked Iran’s enrichment sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

He called the attacks a “spectacular success” and said Iran’s nuclear programme had been “completely and totally obliterated”.

Shocking news to wake up to.

I thought they were still in the process of trying to negotiate some kind of peaceful resolution. Wonder what all the various world leaders will have to say about this. It probably will have taken many of them by surprise too, including Starmer.

It’s all very worrying and I’m struggling to see a best case scenario. Trump seems to be backing the Iranians into a corner with the speech too. Surely a better approach to resolving this with diplomacy and negotiation is to allow everyone to save face.

Also a worry that he bombed Iran when the majority of the US population was against it.
