To continue the discussion on this new aid system which has led to countless Palestinian deaths and injuries and labelled 'inhumane' by the UK government.

Disgusting doesn’t even begin to described. I was stunned when I read it earlier today. No doubt the “but hamas” crew will still be defending the idf, probably say it was hamas who made them do it.

ssd · 27/06/2025 20:37

This is horrific.

ComeAsYouAreAsAFriend · 27/06/2025 21:39

I just can't comprehend why they think they can get away with this! The utter arrogance of it. It so distressing, I can't begin to imagine the fear they must feel. I got berated before on this thread for repeating the Hunger games description I had heard but I was not far off.

TakeMe2Insanity · 27/06/2025 21:40

I’ve also seen reports on instagram of the idf putting various drugs into the few food sacks making out of their centres.

They deserve a special place in hell.

fixingmylife · 27/06/2025 21:43

This is a very interesting interview on Owen Jones' channel. Would recommend highly.

Because for decades now Israel have pretty much done what they have wanted to unchecked. Who is going to stop them? The UN have vanished of the face of the earth and the US are appeasing Israel.

On another note, for years Israelis have been complaining about the effects of unchecked nuclear testing. They said because everyone lets them do what they want to the Palestinians as a result they suffer. I’m referring to articles and documentaries seen in the 00s. Heres a newer link.

The report just confirms what Palestinians have been saying all along.

I found this so disgusting:

At that moment, bursts of gunfire erupt close by, at least 15 shots. “Whoo! Whoo!” one contractor yelps.
“I think you hit one,” one says.
Then comes a shout: “Hell, yeah, boy!”
The camera’s view is obscured by a large dirt mound.
The contractor who took the video told AP that he saw other contractors shooting in the direction of Palestinians who had just collected their food and were departing. The men shot both from a tower above the site and from atop the mound, he said. The shooting began because contractors wanted to disperse the crowd, he said, but it was unclear why they continued shooting as people were walking away.

Yes absolutely agree, thank god this person had the courage to speak out.

Whatsinanamehey · 04/07/2025 09:31

It's sickening to think of the American contractors and Israeli soldiers treating starving Palestinians as some sort of depraved game whilst they shoot to kill and injure.

Shouting 'Hell yeah, boy!" When a Palestinian was hit. It is sick.

Yes, that's what really got to me about this, too. It's horrific and shows just how much they have dehumanised the Palestinians.

ssd · 04/07/2025 11:40

Its also sickening posters on this board would excuse it with "but hamas"

ComeAsYouAreAsAFriend · 04/07/2025 12:36

Really upsetting, they have such a low opinion of Palestinian lives that killing them is a sport. How do people reach this level of depravity.

PaxAeterna · 04/07/2025 13:26

I’m going to wager a guess that GHF have a lot of gun happy nutters as employees. Nobody from a humanitarian aid background would take a job like this.

Its deplorable

JERUSALEM, July 5 (Reuters) - The United States on Saturday blamed Hamas for an attack that injured two American aid workers from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation at a food distribution site in Gaza.

"The attack – which preliminary information indicates was carried out by two assailants who threw two grenades at the Americans – occurred at the conclusion of an otherwise successful distribution in which thousands of Gazans safely received food," the GHF said.

U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce blamed "Hamas terrorists" for the attack.

"This act of violence against the people actually bringing relief to Gazans lays bare the depravity of Hamas," she said in a post on X.

"GHF has contributed over 62 MILLION MEALS - nothing will stop these courageous aid workers. We are praying for the rapid recovery of the injured Americans."

The Israeli military earlier accused what it called "terrorist organisations" of sabotaging the distribution of aid in Gaza.

Aid sites need to be managed by independents. Such as the U.N. Neither America nor Israel should be involved in its distribution or protection. One would hope that everyone including the Palestinians trying to get to aid ( hundreds of which have been killed trying to do so ) would be safer and those handing it out would not be the enemy or in terms of the US perceived as such. Of note those figures for the number of meals is very sad to read. Given the current ‘2.1 million’ population in Gaza (although I have read 2.3million aswell ). The number of meals handed out equates to 29.5 meals / person over 40 days or less than one meal a day! Truly shocking.

Awful news from this morning
Eight children from amongst those killed whilst queuing for aid.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gd01g1gxro

I just saw this. A 1 year old boy, Mohammad was killed queuing for food with his mum Donia. Donia is critically injured.

The EU have finally pulled their finger out and say that they have made an agreement with Israel that means they will provide more aid, fuel for humanitarian uses and Israel will turn the power back on in the desalination plant so people can have water.

Why didn't the EU do this sooner and what the fuck kind of world are we living in when people only agree to let people have food and water when trade is threatened? Absolute sickos.

ssd · 10/07/2025 19:17

And what kind of world do we live in when posters here will read about this, shrug, and say "but hamas"

Agree
The EU had a meeting set for in a couple of days to discuss sanctions etc on Israel. Israel changed tact for one simple reason. To preserve themselves.

The GHF have not stated that they are feeding ALL of Gaza have they? They have only just started up but that is their goal.

What is all the other tonnes of aid coming into Gaza doing in the meantime.

Oh look…..,

Meanwhile it looks like some Gazans are clearly comfortable and happy to be getting their aid from the GHF.
