To continue the discussion on this new aid system which has led to countless Palestinian deaths and injuries and labelled 'inhumane' by the UK government.

You’re often repeating the same stuff @Martymcfly24

If civilians were specifically targeted while trying to collect aid that would be a war crime and I hope the soldiers would get punished.

If civilians were caught up in bombing or shooting near to aid distribution units because Gaza is a war zone, that’s a bit different.

The longer this war goes on, the more civilians die and the pro Israel side have been urging Hamas to admit defeat and end this war for many months now. They could have got better terms months ago than they will get now & thousands of their civilians would still be alive, including all those babies.

@Twiglets1 you have accused me of repeating things before like you have accused me of posting too many news articles and also for being one of the "but Hamas " crowd and also for derailing threads.

I'm sure you could ask MNHQ if there are any moderator jobs going but until then I will post whatever I can in the face of the absolute denial of some posters to the evil war crimes that are being committed by Israel and the IDF or the justification of these crimes because of a terrorist organization.

DrPrunesqualer · 11/07/2025 15:44

You forget Hamas and Isreal agreed to the last ceasefire. Israel pulled out after stage 1. As a result Natanyahu did Not take back the remaining hostages because it meant the IDF pulling out. It’s a terrible shame the pro Israelis voice wasn’t listened to

I note your spelling of “Isreal” and also that in a previous post you said you think Hamas care about the people of Gaza. That you wish to believe the best about a group of terrorists that have bought so much suffering to their own people and Israeli people too is incomprehensible to me. So I won’t be engaging with you anymore.

Twiglets1 · 11/07/2025 16:03

Post what you want @Martymcfly24 just don’t expect anyone to take seriously your feelings that we should stop mentioning Hamas because you prefer to focus exclusively on the perceived crimes of only Israel & the IDF.

Thanks @Twiglets1 . I will.

I never asked anyone to stop mentioning Hamas all I said was stop shoehorning them into times when it's clearly just IDF brutality and not Hamas. Just like some posters will only focus exclusively on the crimes of Hamas and ignore those of Israel and the IDF. (As does every ambassador and representative of Israel when interviewed)

Ps I think @DrPrunesqualer made a typo because it was spelt the correct way for the rest of the post.

DrPrunesqualer · 11/07/2025 16:13

Whilst we all are well aware threads divert and move on this one is about the current aid system. Without independent journalists it’s almost impossible to know what to believe so posting age old …but but Hamas is meaningless. One speaking of Israel did this is always met by but but Hamas and visa versa. Neither makes what’s happening right. Neither makes the lack of aid going in acceptable. Why can’t we acknowledge there are human beings in a war zone and discuss the aid situation.

It’s not at all trolling to remember that you said before that you think Hamas care about Gazans. You said it so you presumably believe it so that makes you someone not worth discussing things with in my opinion.

But spelling Israel in that way is a common thing that people do who hate Israel, which you can see by Googling it if you’re unaware.

Do you not think Hamas are in any way involved with the way aid is distributed though?

They have hijacked it, sell it on at inflated prices when it should be free to pay their fighters, and kill Palestinians who they try to take what it theirs as well as killing Palestinians who go to the GHF sites, including GHF workers themselves?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gr1rk5nvxo.amp

Just look at the stance of that article as well, and you think unbiased journalists can be found to report from Gaza? Since when was an evil, barbaric terrorist organisation’s word taken with a similar level of transparency as Western backed aid agency by a Western government backed news agency?

There have many reports of Hamas threatening Palestinians with death and shooting Palestinians who go to GHF sites and also posing as civilians (of course) to attack and provoke, it’s not surprising innocents are getting killed.

If you even bothered to consider what conditions the IDF are fighting in, and have been for almost two years, it’s really not hard to see why this is happening.

The very crux of it all is that without Hamas doing what they did on Oct 7th, the lives lost since then on both sides would not have been lost.

BUT HAMAS is exactly it. If they think they should be taken out of the equation, you are being totally disingenuous.

You would have also thought the UN would agree that aid bypassing Hamas would be a good thing but they have refused to engage with it. They also don’t seem to be doing much to prevent it. That tells you something very clearly.

Several large trucks carrying aid packages are in line on a dusty road.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said the attack, which the BBC could not independently verify, came after days of threats from Hamas.

Hamas are evil.
Never denied that. There is no conversation or debate regarding that.

So are the actions of the IDF.
Do you agree with an airstrike on starving children killing 6 of them including a one year old waiting for nutritional supplements ?

I found one Reddit thread after a lot of searching but nothing else . I know Itsnotreal is a slur but there is very little on Isreal.

Anyway back to the topic of the thread. I was incorrect earlier with my figures..it's 800 slaughtered looking for food.

The incorrect spelling was not intentional and it’s not on to accuse me of such. If I wanted to say what I think of others or countries or anything I don’t hide behind veiled insults and bullying.

I don’t hate Israel. ( as you have mentioned the incorrect spelling is used by others who hate Israel) That’s a country of innocent civilians. I do hate the current actions of Netanyahu, some members of the Israeli Government and the orders and actions of the IDF. I recognise members of the armed forces sometimes cannot act against the will of orders.

updated after @Martymcfly24 s recent post. I took Twiglets word at the slur. I don’t do X or Reddit or insta or anything so I really wouldn’t know about the spelling issue tbh.

For murdering five people...."Barghouti, 44, was found guilty of complicity in the murder of a Greek Orthodox monk in the West Bank in 2001, an Israeli at the Jewish settlement of Givat Zeev in 2002 and three people at a Tel Aviv seafood restaurant, also in 2002. He was found guilty of one count of attempted murder and a count of membership of a terrorist group."
Charming.

Yes and he may well have been guilty of all of those. But far more importantly, his popularity amongst the Palestinians is higher than anyone else. Enough Palestinians trust him to lead them.
He is a pragmatist. He recognises Israel behind 1967 borders and offers Israel security.

He's the best bet the Palestinians have got.

He's in an Israeli Jail.

Fucking hell. Another convicted terrorist is the Palestinians best bet?

How on earth does that offer Israel security?

What does his support being higher amongst the Palestinians than anyone else indicate?

Is there really no one who isn’t a terrorist who is popular among the Palestinians?

DrPrunesqualer · 12/07/2025 00:41

As the thread is about aid. In the Independents article title attached There’s a plan showing attacks at aid distribution centres by the IDF since March 18th This year. 98 in all which clearly indicates aid is not being distributed in safe zones or / and Palestinians are being targeted at or on their way to them.

Stop getting so hung up on the "T" word.* *

Not being subject to hostilities is security. He offers that.

What does his support being higher amongst the Palestinians than anyone else indicate? He will have popular following and is more likely to achieve consensus.

Why are you minimising terrorism?

Ridiculous to tell people not to get “hung up” on it.

That post must be a joke. Those emotional Israelis, so 'hung up' on terrorists trying to kill them as they go about their daily lives.

Is the GHF aid working now?
I don’t see posts about starving people anymore or malnutrition. Even the posts linking to articles showing kids with disabilities and passing them off as starvation have stopped.

Whatsinanamehey · 12/07/2025 11:23

I know these children were not killed whilst waiting for aid from GHF so apologies in advance but I really dont want to start a new thread for it.

They were however, waiting for supplements and medical aid. I'm posting this because this article doesn't only talk about how they were killed but it shares images of some of the innocent children whilst they were alive. So often when it comes to Palestinian deaths we just hear numbers. We don't see the faces behind that number.

On another thread there was an argument that we dont see images of malnourished Palestinians. I was reading the article and I couldn't help noticing how thin and weak the whole family looked here. The image in the article was not used to highlight that the family were malnourished but it seems very apparent that they are.
