New evacuation orders have been issued. Israeli government reported as saying they will fight until their war aims are achieved.

At least 330 killed after Israel launches extensive strikes on Gaza, Hamas-run ministry says - live updates

Israel launched dozens of air strikes on cities across Gaza, in the largest wave since a ceasefire with Hamas began in January.

Fair enough @dairydebris we can agree to disagree on that but I truly believe that last night Israel stooped to the level of a terrorist.

An unprovoked attack on an already traumatized population who were sleeping, eating and minding their children.

400 people gone.

For what. Their lives are every bit as valuable as ours .

I agree those lives were every bit as valuable as ours.

If only Hamas and the current Israeli government agreed.

There seems to be no appetite for peace anywhere that matters.

We can argue the semantics all we like about history and who did what to who over the past 80 years but no one can deny what happened last night was evil.

A democratic country launched an attack on civilians that had led to the deaths of over 400 people.

There is no justification for these murders and we Israel have just reduced themselves morally to the same level as Hamas with a surprise attack on innocent civilians.

Agree, my heart breaks for those people, seems like its all back to square one again 💔

Women and children are just seen as collateral while men compete in violent power struggles.

It's the same cycle repeated again and again world wide.

It wasn’t rhetorical. I wanted the person I asked the question of to answer the question giving their opinion and nothing to do with Google.

Like you said there is absolutely no justification for what Israel did overnight so all of that is just a distraction from the victims really isn't it? Palestinian children have been killed at such an enormous rate over the over the past 19months that individual victims haven't gotten the remembrance that they deserve. Just one day to hold the child victims of Israels latest attacks in our thoughts without people jumping in to distract would be nice.

EasterIssland · 18/03/2025 17:33

Unfortunately more innocent civilians to be killed in coming days

srael’s foreign minister Gideon Saar said fresh Israeli strikes that have killed hundreds of Palestinians were not a “one-day attack” and that the military operation in Gaza would continue in the coming days.
Saar, who was speaking at a meeting with the powerful pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC in Jerusalem, said the U.S. had been given advance warning of the Israeli strikes and that it supported them

I don't know what is so hard about just acknowledging that there have been victims on both sides and if we are (rightly) condemning Trump & Netanyahu & the IDF we can also condemn Hamas for the loss of civilian life.

An Irish based orthopaedic surgeon whose brother was killed by Israel last year had 4 of his nieces and nephews killed by Israel last night. His sister is in intensive care along with his 3 day old grand niece.

Dr Mahmoud Abumarzouq, who works as a surgeon in Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, Co Meath, said he was awaiting news on the condition of his sister Seham, who was in intensive care.
Her teenage boys, Mohamed and Refat, were killed alongside her daughters, Dinna and Noor, whose three-day-old baby daughter Yaqout was badly injured and was taken to intensive care.

Baby Yaqout is just 3 days old and already her life has been changed by Israel forever. If she is lucky enough to live she will never know her Mum Noor.

Other members of his sister’s family were also killed in the attack. Her family is all gone. Ten of her in-laws were killed as well last night; all of her in-laws were wiped out. There were no survivors on that side of her family.

I really have no words. I thought I would never be surprised, well, better said shocked to the core, but every day this brings something else.
I feel for all the families and the ones suffering. Both the Israel and Palestinian sides.

Israel killed people last night not Hamas. That is what this thread is about. Like my post above. Mohammad, Rafat, Dinna and Noor were all killed by Israel last night. Noor had a 3 day old baby who is now in ICU, she will never see her daughter grow up. Yaqout will never know her Mum. Israel did that with no justification.

I know the killings were IDF against Palestinian civilians last night but October 7th was Hamas against Israeli civilians.

There was no justification on either occasion as far as I'm concerned.

I don't want to keep stressing this point as it is clearly upsetting so let's move on rather then keep going over the same ground.

The ethnic cleansing began decades before Hamas they were created as a resistance force against a brutal occupation they are a direct symptom without the subjugation of the Palestinians Hamas would be redundant.
Netanyahu also funded Hamas to divide Gaza and the West Bank it was a tactic to stop a two state solution when Qatar said they were not going to fund Hamas Netanyahu send Mossad to Qatar to strong arm them into continuing the payments and from then on the money was delivered in cash it was brought in suitcases with the full cooperate of the Israelis.

I didn't understand a word of that. Do you have any proof?

Proof of what? It's widely known Netanyahu supported Hamas when it suited him

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 18:47

Where the fuck does the IDF get off on murdering children in their tents. So many dead the hospitals can't cope, the doctors can't cope. The Netanyahu government are terrorists in suits.

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 18:52

Speaking of the trauma the war has left on pupils, Mr Rizik said: "When we told them to draw something, all of our students drew either destroyed houses or people being tortured by the soldiers"

I can't imagine their trauma. David lammy said he was 'appalled' that's all he could muster after last night's depraved attack.

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 18:52

Our spineless government is too scared to say more because they don't want to upset Trump.

LoyalAquaOtter · 18/03/2025 19:19

May Layan, Omar, their parents and siblings rest in peace.

Layan had been "so excited" to start grade 11 on Tuesday, but an Israeli airstrike ended her life the same day.

So incredibly unfair.

Netanyahu has sealed Israel’s fate but he will be safe

be it Hamas or another terrorist group the Israeli government has provided the perfect setting for angry young men to be manipulated into fighting back by sacrificing their own lives

This is what Netanyahu wants be knows he can destroy Gaza and is just waiting to complete the job

Martymcfly24 · 18/03/2025 22:39

412 people dead

174 of them were children.
Around 6 classrooms of children just gone.

A whole family with 17 members including two little girls and their mum and dad.

If the world does not wake up with this we have truly lost all our humanity.

ssd · 18/03/2025 22:43

This is turning a generation against Israel. Not because they are antisemitic but because they see this for what it is. Wholesale slaughter of innocent people.

There's no excuse .

caringcarer · 18/03/2025 22:52

They need to hand back the hostages. 25 still alive according to Hamas yet they hand over 4 dead bodies and only 1 live hostage.
