New evacuation orders have been issued. Israeli government reported as saying they will fight until their war aims are achieved.

At least 330 killed after Israel launches extensive strikes on Gaza, Hamas-run ministry says - live updates

Israel launched dozens of air strikes on cities across Gaza, in the largest wave since a ceasefire with Hamas began in January.

Netanhayu was meant to be in court today for the investigation related with his corruption. This has been cancelled for security reasons. Suspicious

Oh how convenient for him.

Funny, I anticipated that someone would mention Hamas and I was not disappointed.

The "but Hamas" excuse has long lost its effect, a death ratio of 1 Israeli to 60 Palestinians is disproportionate .

so Fuck Hamas too, for giving the Israeli government the excuse to carry out a systematic, calculated, destruction of the Palestinian people.

Though this would have happened with any excuse because the previous excuses were "It's the PLO, PLFP, etc" every single Palestinian group has been used as an excuse for the sytemic destruction of the Palestinians.

Do you have similar sympathy for the Germans in ww2 and hatred for particularly the British who systematically bombed civillian areas more than any other nation during ww2? After oppressing the German people leading up to ww2.
People seem blind to the fact this is a common theme in war. We can dislike it, but let's not act like plenty of other nations haven't done the same when under threat.

That would be one of those rhetorical questions I guess?

No. A lot of people seem to have tunnel vision on this one war.

Awful comment. 'Bleating about hostages'

Innocent people caught up in this terrible conflict on both sides. You can show support for gazan casualties without demeaning those innocent on the other side.

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 11:55

We have the terrible double act of Trump and Netanyahu murdering scum.

There has been a distinct lack of sympathy for the victims here.

I absolutely feel for the hostages families today after torture for 18 months (I have condemned Hamas many times here) to know how absolutely close they were to having them home and it might all be scuppered now by megalomaniac actions of evil men.

EasterIssland · 18/03/2025 11:42

Are you talking about the Israeli government whose president should be in court today for corruption and whose president and other members of the government have got arrest warrants for war criminals? And they weren’t elected that long time ago!

👏👏

Westcott313 · 18/03/2025 11:57

They were bombed before the pre dawn meal.

I saw one mother crying her children had died hungry as they had only a few beans to eat. She lost all her children plus her husband.

I've seen babies lying dead on the cold hospital floor... A dead little boy who had visibly wet himself.

I saw a dead baby lying on top of his dead mother.

How can anyone justify this? It's ethnic cleansing, nothing else.

goodovationsonly · 18/03/2025 10:51

Hamas are a fairly new inception, Israel has been wiping out the Palestinians for decades. Who are we going to blame for that? I'm not saying Hamas are good, but we have to stop using them as a deflection for Israel's continued murdering sprees.

Palestinians have been resorting to terrorism and violence in support of their political goals for many decades. And their stated political goal has always been the destruction of Israel. Not their own state- but just the destruction of Israel. Before Hamas, PLO, Black September and numerous others. Israeli citizens have been constantly attacked.

Painting such a complex situation as purely Israeli aggression is ignorant. But that's what the terrorists would have you believe so...

You know just as well as I do this has never ever been about the hostages ! This has been an excuse to carpet bomb Gaza in a land grab for land / oil and gas . American Zionists were selling real estate on the Gaza Strip as soon as October 8. Netanyahu never wanted the hostages back , he wants a genocide to ethnically cleanse the land !

This 👆
For Netanyahu and his equally evil cronies this was only ever about power and land. The hostages lives were never even a consideration.

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 12:00

Netanyahu will be over the moon today, he managed to kill and injure hundreds of Palestinians and Ben Gvir is now returning to government with his party.

Which is my point. In this war people seem unable to objectively look at both sides. Where did I say I do not feel it?
I'm pointing out that this is unfortunately standard in wars and people seem to be forgetting that and unable to look objectively at the situation in a way most people can with other situations (eg ww2).

I don't justify this. I'd say it's unjustified to restart at this point. I'm so sad to hear of yet more death and destruction. I'm worried for the hostages aswell, I'm worried they'll hear the bombing and reasonably conclude they are not an priority for Netanyahu. The whole thing is an unending fucking tragedy. Sorry if my posts suggested otherwise today.

Whatsinanamehey · 18/03/2025 12:09

The hostages forum are protesting right now because of the danger their loved ones are in right now.

I am happy to condemn Hamas. It goes without saying that of course the hostage situation on October 7th was barbaric, monstrous.

I have no connection with either side in this conflict. None at all. But shrugging your shoulders when 400 people in Gaza (or anywhere!) are killed is sick. This conflict has turned human hearts into stone. If you really think this latest killing is justified then your psychology is warped. Is it not possible to make a connection between the grief and anger you feel when Israeli’s are killed with the anger and grief of the Palestinians? Really not possible for you? Then something has gone wrong for you.

I'm pleased that you are happy to condemn Hamas as see too many people on these threads unwilling to condemn them and not wishing to dwell on the barbaric things that happened on October 7th.

Like you, I have no connection with either side & I'm definitely not shrugging my shoulders about 400 people getting killed. I don't think this latest killing is justified so there is no reason to question my psychology.

It just stood out for me when @BelleHathor said Fuck Trump, Netanyahu, Fuck the IDF and referred to pure evil that they left Hamas out of the list. As I said in response to that post, two wrongs don't make a right but surely it's Fuck Hamas too.

Where did the violence last night come from? Who killed all of those children last night? As far as I am aware that is what this thread is about. The 100s of innocent people that have been killed in the past few hours. The little children slaughtered while they were sleeping. Can you not have a little bit of respect and allow people to express their anger and sadness at their pointless, violent deaths.

The violence last night came from Israel's side.

But if people on this thread are going to talk about evil actions, Hamas are culpable too.

I saw those too. The poor little boy who must have died in terror. The small baby laying dead in their little rainbow covered babygrow. It's beyond words. I feel so angry and sad that this is happening again.

It would be great if people could stop the bickering and the justification and just allow these children and their families to be thought of today.

The thread is specifically about the actions that Israel chose to take last night, the actions that have ended the lives of many children. Maybe you can start a thread to talk about Hamas elsewhere if it is important to you? Or you could at least acknowledge how awful and unjustifiable Israels actions last night were?

What is your opinion on how Britain acted in WW2?

My opinion, knowing people who lived through it, that war is hell on earth for everyone involved and you'd better be damn sure why you're starting the fight. That Britain and the allied countries would be terrible places if we lost.
That some people seem keen on perpetuating conflict but would change their tune if they had to live in it.

And the little boy staring at the wall for an hour. He lost his entire family.

And there are still people who think little children are terrorists.
