A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

OP do you genuinely think Israel giving the Palestinians a two day break from their continuous slaughter is a token of peace?

If people stopped their hysterical demonisation of the term Zionist and all the tropes that go alongside side it then they'd see that it's really not half as controversial as they'd like to make it out to be.

Yes, I agree, neither side want peace. Hamas want the eradication of Israel and Israel want the eradication of Palestinians and a greater Israel .
With Donald Trump now in power Israel may get what they want. If this happens and Palestinians are completely evicted from Gaza and the West Bank, I do hope that in a generation there will be peace and no more killing, sadly I doubt it though.

But I have heard several times that some people believe that all Zionists must support the settlers for example or believe in a one state solution...as well as other forms of extremism. Then this is used to demonise us all and create this rhetoric that Zionism is inherently evil.

Oh I have no issue with Jews wanting their own country. Good on em. Though not sure why.. given they were living in peace with Muslims and Christians before in one country. I think that is so much better for humanity to live in peace with one another. The way Zionists created Israel (expelling Palestinians and killing them) I have an issue with!
