A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

A ceasefire isn't a peace offer.... I think there is a lot more to this current conflict than just fighting Hamas. Neither side will stop, because they can't.

Hamas are Islamic terrorists. They are fundamentalists who went into Israel a year ago and raped and murdered. Those murders included beheading babies. There is footage of Hamas terrorists shooting two unarmed Jewish women who were cowering behind a desk.

Those are facts. I've yet to see those posting in support of Hamas produce evidence that they are all poor beleaguered orphans. In fact @lucyshoebeck that is simply bullshit. Indeed within days of the attacks on Israel a Hamas terrorist cell phone was recovered. It showed he had sent messages to his mother crowing about how many Jews he had murdered. Not much of an orphan then.

I fully support Israel's right to self determination. Jews have been in the middle East for centuries. They deserve their homeland. The public support of a murderous terrorist proscribed group like Hamas on this forum show why.

Well of course they don’t. They purposely set out to inflict the most horrific acts against the Israeli people leaving Israel with no choice put to set out to destroy them. They hide behind the women and children in Palestine. They want to cause all out war against the Jews and their supporters and cause people in other countries to take against the Jews.
