A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

Hamas don't want peace (and have never experienced it in their life times thanks to Israel). The Israeli government do not want peace for Gaza's civilians. Do you think Gaza's civilians deserve peace OP?

The PLO walked away from the chance of a peace agreement as well.

Isreal needs to offer land and homes back and stop bombing if they want peace. Why would Palestinians want to make peace with people that aren’t offering to end their occupation and suffering? All the millions in the world won’t give them their lives back and the lives of the hostages are no more important than the lives of Palestinians.

Isreal is only making this offer to pacify their own citizens, not because they believe in peace for Palestine.

Wonder why that is? Britain and the us are to blame for it. Decades of genocide and murder.

@Fairy0708 Israel didn't exist prior to 1948 and to establish themselves they murdered over 15k Palestinians and displaced many many more and they expect to be left alone in peace ? I'd love to know how you'd react if someone just chucked you out of your house and said it's mine now. Wake up.

So why didn't they just stay living in their own homes/land instead of forcibly expelling Palestinians from theirs?

And yes Jews, Christians and Muslims were living together in peace for 1000s of years prior so why did they cause so much suffering to establish their own state?

I visited Jerusalem about 20 years ago. I was astonished how all the different faiths lived civilly, side by side. Hamas is to blame for this. They have also successfully brainwashed many of the Palestinians to hate Jewish people. The sort of hate that culminates in October 7th where for the duration of the massacre and attack, it felt like there was hell on earth.

Have you heard of a little thing called WWII? They were also expelled or killed in virtually all the surrounding countries, where they had lived for 1000's of years. The current Israeli government is horrific, but that does not mean that the Jewish people have just tipped up from nowhere. And 'the jews' didn't do it. The Allies did. This is mainly a mess caused by the British Empire.

Of course they do not want peace.

They are radical Islamists which means they are idea logically opposed both to peace and to a Palestinian state.

Both Jews and Palestinians have lived on the land, prior to 1948. Both have valid claim to their ancestral land. Let's not forgot this.
Have you also heard of "the Uganda scheme"? Palestine wasn't the first choice for a safe haven for Jewish people.

Palestinians don’t hate Jews, they hate the Zionists that have killed so many of them for 76 years and illegally occupied their land - don’t think you need to be ‘Brainwashed’ to know this. Hamas were wrong to kill innocent people on 7 Oct but Israel have been doing the same since 1948. So no, Hamas didn’t cause this, Israel did when they decided that they wanted their own land and ethically cleansed the area to make it their ‘own’. The creation of groups like Hamas was inevitable. Do you expect everyone to just sit tight and let Israel illegally occupy them? In regard to your point about your visit to Jerusalem, Palestinians have no choice but to live in accordance with how the Israeli government wants otherwise guess what? They’ll get shot dead or taken to Israeli prisons without charge if they resist the illegally occupation.

Hamas are and have always been war dogs. They never want peace - it’s not who they are or their directive. AND they have been very vocal and honest about that on several TV broadcasts

Thats why they spent billions of ££ we sent of aid money on building tunnels under the ground and letting the people of Gaza rot - no electricity or clean water - Israel paid for it all.

It’s also the reason none of the surrounding Arab countries would take the Palestinians in because of past events where they caused civil war.

It’s also the reason students in the UAE have been banned from flying the Palestinian flag & marching - and have even been deported.
