I’m sure there will be a legal ruling on whether it was a genocide or not. I am also hoping that people will now have more bandwidth to look at Sudan.

If only bandwidth was the issue.

Confirmed.

Excellent news, hopefully we'll now see the return of the hostages, the cessation of attacks on Israel and the eviction of hamas. I look forward to seeing the marchers celebrating it this weekend...

No mention of the end of the bombing, deliberate starvation, the withdrawal of meds, the destruction of hospitals and the list goes on. All this deliberately and systematically inflected by the Israeli government/idf. Why is that?
The vast majority of marchers ( I am one of them) march for this.
Why don't you organise a march to celebrate the death of this vile terrorist? I would gladly join it.

Fathom is a perfectly well respected publication.

Respected by whom? It has a clear bias

Great. So now Israel can stop bombing civilians in order to find him I assume.

Probably not of hamas don't stop bombing Israeli civilians🤷

Why? Are you only able to give time to one thing at once? There are many publications and the UN which have been reporting consistently from the region. Also many humanitarian organisations fundraising I was at one myself last week.

One last time, just because terrorists and their propagandists tell you it’s a genocide, that doesn’t mean you should believe them. Engage your brain, for god’s sake.

https://fathomjournal.org/statistically-impossible-a-critical-analysis-of-hamass-women-and-children-casualty-figures/

It isn't for you or I to decide if it's a genocide or not. It is for the courts of law. After all, there are the experts there, not you or I.
Finally, propaganda is used by both parties. Let's not forget this fact.

Hopefully it is true and Sinwar has been eliminated.

However if true I now think it is the perfect time (well earlier would have been better) for Israel to seriously ramp up the amount of aid going into Northern Gaza and if necessary get a third party to assist in the distribution (eg UN) in order to avoid repeats of situations like :

It's pretty distasteful to use the crisis in Sudan as a stick to beat people with

"Why? Are you only able to give time to one thing at once? "

But you have to concede that the majority of press coverage and protests have been focused on Gaza rather than Sudan.

Also from my own personal perspective I am only able to fully focus / follow on one or two international conflicts at a time.

From reports, he was killed in a firefight not an airstrike:

Please note the image is quite graphic.

Wouldn't believe a word that comes out of Eylon Levy's lying mouth tbh

Nothing new here, sadly.

I think Israel should send tenfold the amount of aid, just inundate Gaza. Make it so that if Hamass steals half the aid there is still plenty for the civilians and make it impossible for anyone to profit from selling aid in the markets as we keep seeing. They should be facilitating the hell out of delivery and take the bite and sting out of the terrorists.

Many sensible people. All publications have bias - its inherent in the editorial process, just as you & I do. It doesn't mean the publication doesn't produced well-researched or well-thought through articles. It publishes a wide range of writers and ideas, including journalists from Haaretz and well respected English writers such as David Hirsh though it has been criticised for refusing to publish writers who oppose a two-state solution. Its stated purpose to provide 'an honest and nuanced portrait of Israel as it is, even if not always flattering' and the Fathom lectures are excellent - you would get a lot out of them. I recommend reading their founding statement with its unequivocal support for a 2 State Solution

Maybe ask yourself why this is the case.

Actually given the greater number of deaths and the horrific inclusion of slavery I personally see the Sudanese conflict as massively under reported.

Why do you think it is under reported?

Just saw on Twitter “Netanyahu offers immunity to any Gazan who releases the hostages.”

Really? Wow, just wow. You believe that it is all over the media because they are all antisemitic? Every. single. news. outlets?
I am speechless.

I thought we all wanted the hostages released. A positive enticement to those holding them seems quite a good strategy?
