Hamas have lost many leaders. If confirmed along with other senior leaders reports are hoping for a collapse of Hamas military structure.

Hoping for negotiations to restart

Apparently some experts think there are not enough other senior enough leaders left to take over. Most of the command has been taken out. They suggested not enough to bring the terrorist organisation vack together.

Maybe a new government for the people of Gaza and a new start. Massive rebuilding needed (I realise an understatement).

Hoping for a ceasefire.

Let's hope it's true, one less evil maniac in the world. Let's hope it leads to a ceasefire, hostage release and interim support and advocacy for Palestinian people to navigate them out of this mess and start healing 🙏

Has it been confirmed? I know there have been rumblings for a while. I don't understand why Israel don't know the facts when their attacks are all very considered and targeted apparently. Like the link posted said that they killed 3 'terrorists' if you don't even know who they are how do you know that they are terrorists, do they wear badges? It's the same for all of these bombings, 9 terrorists killed, presumably they know the names of these people or else how do you know the people who you are targeting and killing are terrorists?

Anyway I don't think he is much of a loss if he is dead.

He is/was the main target for Israel so now with him possibly gone will the bombing of Gaza ease up? Will negotiations for a hostage release be possible?

Just waiting for the confirmation. Hoping this can lead to the end of the war, return of all hostages, and rebuilding.

Well the news coming out now indicates a strong possibility it was him. So the Israeli story that he is hiding amongst hostages doesn't really check out and maybe they can actually negotiate a deal and end the war now.

You don't think its possible that he might have moved occasionally over the last 12 months? I've never heard that they think all the hostages are together either. All the ones we know about have been in various different places.

Good. Now hopefully they can withdraw from Gaza soon. Hopefully the Palestinian Authority can step in and start off negotiations on behalf of Gaza. I think the gulf kingdoms will try to leap in to help re-build to prevent Qatar from getting involved.

They probably want to find the rest of the hostages and then get on the off ramp.

Fingers crossed whats left of Hamas will just turn over hostages soon so everyone can just stop.

I'd love to have hope.
But it takes very cool, stable, and rational heads to even imagine the possibility of dipping a toe in the negotiation waters.
I just can't feel the warm fuzzies of diplomacy coming on. Believe me, I want to be so incredibly wrong.
