Read the IHRA definition of antisemitism. Ive posted it many times.

Yes, read it. I haven't crossed those lines.

I repeat, how?

Not sure how they can explain away hitting the area they have instructed civilians to go to for safety close to 100 times. It definitely does not demonstrate any attempts at limiting civilian casualties.

I know the incoming orange twat will try to take credit but I don't care - I just want this to be the last thread...

Couldn’t agree more. However I’ve the feeling he’s going to push the ceasefire and then allow it to be broken or that land will be stolen / people killed and “nothing to see here”. There is a ceasefire thanks to me

I don't think it will work, he was elected on the basis of no more pointless wars wasting American money and lives.

His base have been upset/angry over the billions sent to Ukraine and started protesting 2 years ago, which the Republicans responded to by agreeing and campaigning on no more money for Ukraine, blocking funding bills etc. After 7th October though they openly campaigned to send money to Israel. A lot of MAGA were like what's different? It's still our money/lives we don't want this either.
They were ignored and have been getting increasingly louder saying they're not willing to fight/die for Israel (whilst America falls apart look at California). Even worst (for the warmongers) they're encouraging their children not to join the military.

Also many MAGA influencers who claimed to be America First openly shilled for Israel and have lost their ability to "influence" the growing Israel is not in America's strategic interest group.

Trump has to appease this group as unlike Democrats who usually ignore disagreements and "vote blue, no matter who". MAGA will sit out future elections if betrayed/ignored.

he might not regard it as war but Palestinians continue being under restrictions and from time to time innocent civilians killed. Before 7-10 Palestinians weren’t at war but they weren’t free either. That’s what I meant.

A good ending to this would be a 2 state solution with no more interference between both countries.

❤️ Right there with you Easter.

Trump "cares" about the Palestinians about as much as Netanyahu (aka not at all).

If he can keep focused on America at least the Palestinians (and all the other countries that have been bombed) can get a some peace and respite.

I'm watching videos from Gaza and they look so happy right now with a real chance of a ceasefire.

I'm praying Trumps base keeps him focused on Chicago and Florida instead of Gaza City or Jerusalem.

Here is an article by a Journalist at Pro Publica (who is accredited to attend State Department briefings).
https://www.propublica.org/article/biden-blinken-state-department-israel-gaza-human-rights-horrors?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=twitter-thread

Basically as many people have said over and over again, the American government knew about the Israeli government's abuses and fully allowed the atrocities whilst protecting them.

"All year, senior leaders repeatedly disregarded their own experts behind the scenes. They cracked down on leaks by threatening criminal investigations and classifying material that was critical of Israel."

"At another point, leadership passed out NSC’s list of banned words to government employees working on reports and presentations: You can’t say “Palestinian residents of Jerusalem,” for example, instead use “non-Israeli residents of Jerusalem.”

A Year of Empty Threats and a “Smokescreen” Policy: How the State Department Let Israel Get Away With Horrors in Gaza

Israel has repeatedly crossed the Biden administration’s human rights red lines. But the U.S. continued to send weapons. Exclusive records and interviews reveal what happened inside the State Department.

I thought the BBC covered things well on the news last night. Reminding viewers of the horrors of the past 15 months. Highlighting the structural devastation, numbers of lives lost, particularly focusing on children and babies, the humanitarian crisis, civilian trauma and the millions displaced over and over. It was quite difficult seeing it all in one reel. Hard to comprehend it all happened in just over a year.

Apparently they've killed 40 people since the announcement of the ceasefire? They're horrible bastards.

Yes just cruel as people breathed a sigh of relief they needed to remind them how fragile this is ceasefire will be

There is a report by TG as well about the impact of 15 months

The devastating impact of 15 months of war on Gaza

The Israeli response to Hamas’s attacks on 7 October 2023 has killed tens of thousands, left most schools and hospitals in ruins, and caused long-term damage to agricultural land in the territory

Trump has at least said the quiet part out loud when asked about the ceasefire .

He said that Gaza had a "phenomenal location, on the sea” and “the best weather.” sure once you clear away the rubble of peoples homes and the bodies it could be the Key West of the Middle East for all those looking for some sun and sea.

His disregard for human life is disgusting .

Trump says he’s ‘not confident’ Gaza ceasefire will hold | CNN

US President Donald Trump said Monday he was “not confident” the Gaza ceasefire would last, despite claiming credit for brokering the agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Mine too. The disregard for Palestinian lives is a common theme among many. He literally sees their home as an opportunity for another playground for rich Americans.

It is also evident how fragile this ceasefire is

Yes very evident over the past year and shocking that these are the words of the president of the United States, disgusting.

Thank you Easter. I read this article this morning and am surprised it’s not getting the headlines it deserves.
“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says the building was targeted because it was a Hezbollah "terrorist command centre" and it "eliminated" a Hezbollah commander. It added that "the overwhelming majority" of those killed in the strike were "confirmed to be terror operatives".

But a BBC Eye investigation verified the identity of 68 of the 73 people killed in the attack and uncovered evidence suggesting just six were linked to Hezbollah's military wing. None of those we identified appeared to hold a senior rank. The BBC's World Service also found that the other 62 were civilians - 23 of them children.”

”Between October 2023 and November 2024, Lebanese authorities say more than 3,960 people were killed in Lebanon by Israeli forces, many of them civilians. Over the same time period, Israeli authorities say at least 47 civilians were killed by Hezbollah rockets fired from southern Lebanon. At least 80 Israeli soldiers were also killed fighting in southern Lebanon or as a result of rocket attacks on northern Israel.”

In one strike, the IDF killed more civilians than all the civilians Hezbollah killed in over a year.

This is the reality of what Israel is doing (part 5)
SummerFeverVenice · 24/01/2025 12:46

The Israeli invasion of Syria was an entirely unnecessary breach of the 1974 ceasefire with Syria and it appears they aren’t leaving Syria anytime soon.
https://apple.news/A_Tj68PP2RfmPiPi-dYJTRQ

“Newly released satellite imagery shows Israel Defense Forces (IDF) construction taking place within the demilitarised buffer zone that separates the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights from Syria.
The image, obtained exclusively by BBC Verify, shows building work taking place at a location more than 600m inside what is known as the Area of Separation (AoS).
Under the terms of Israel's ceasefire agreement with Syria in 1974, the IDF is prohibited from crossing the so-called Alpha Line on the western edge of the AoS.
When contacted about the images, the IDF told the BBC its "forces are operating in southern Syria, within the buffer zone and at strategic points, to protect the residents of northern Israel."

It appears they are building a military base/outpost:
”A new track or road measuring around 1km also appears to join with a pre-existing road that leads into Israeli territory.
Drone photographs shared by a Syrian journalist 20 January shows trucks, excavators and bulldozers at the site.
Jeremy Binnie, Middle East specialist a defence intelligence company Janes told us: "The photo shows what appear to be four prefabricated guard posts that they will presumably crane into position in the corners, so this is somewhere they are planning to maintain at least an interim presence".

This is the reality of what Israel is doing (part 5)
MissyB1 · 24/01/2025 13:49

Yep as soon as they went into Syria I said they wouldn't be leaving. They will insist to the world that it's necessary for Israel to have a military presence there, not that world seems to care about Israel breaking international rules 🙄
