IDF airstrikes reportedly carried out on 'humanitarian area'

The IDF have reportedly carried out airstrikes on displaced people, in an area Israel designated a 'humanitarian area'. They told people to go there, displaced people to that area, and have now reportedly bombed it.

Airstrikes on Rafah reportedly kill 30 after Hamas launches rockets at Tel Aviv

Medics in the southern Gaza city say the strikes hit an area of tents being used by displaced people.

The excuse that’s being used to try to justify what the IDF are currently doing.

Many Jewish people see it as having a homeland in Israel, if you are antizionist to the point that you think Israel shouldn't exist ( in any form) I think you are perpetuating the hate.

AhNowTed · 27/05/2024 21:19

"whilst hiding behind innocent children"

Spare me the faux outrage.

Israel couldn't care less if it was an entire school of 5 year olds.

They bomb them all anyway.

Those Hamas cunts deliberately launched an attack whilst hiding behind innocent children in the full knowledge that the IDF would retaliate in this way. If a terrorist shoots at a soldier and the soldier returns fire and the terrorist holds up a child to shield himself from the bullets, who is the murderer?

Based on this logic police should just blow up a school if there’s a school shooter inside.

The way Israelis justify genocide is so supremely disgusting. This was a refugee camp. Which the Israelis forced the Gazans into. You will be just as complicit one day for genocide with these views. Our kids will be learning about you in history lessons on how you justified the slaughter of innocents to yourselves. Absolutely vile with your faux outrage. The world has realised what is going on and these excuses are no longer accepted.

There are people saying that Palestinian aggression is justified whilst expecting those caught up in 7/10 to move on with compassion and no hard feelings.

Did you see the link I posted earlier, about 2 Israelis torn apart with bare hands and their organs held aloft in celebration to cheering crowds? Someones son, brother, husband.
None of it is OK.

How dare you accuse people of supporting genocide when you only have compassion for some victims.

Half a year ago? Have you ever lost someone you care about, in the worst possible circumstances. Well get over it.

If your compassion is only for one side you are part of the problem.

Yes I've heard it can be hard to hold more than one idea in your head at a time.

AhNowTed · 27/05/2024 21:38

@quantumbutterfly

"How dare you accuse people of supporting genocide when you only have compassion for some victims."

That is not fair at all.

Of course folks have compassion for the victims and hostages of Oct 7th.

But this is not "an eye for an eye".

This is indiscriminate bombing and mass slaughter of starving children who are trapped.

And please, don't give me the human shield claptrap. There hasn't been a single human shield that caused Israel to hold fire. Not one.

Gaza is an unliveable graveyard. That was always the end game.

PeasfullPerson · 27/05/2024 21:40

What happened to the tent camp in Rafah was grim.

What has been happening for the last six months is grim.

What has been happening for years is grim.

I’m pleased to see many leaders speaking against this, but it isn’t anything new.

The people in Palestine are not less deserving of peace and safety, and hopes and dreams, than the people of Israel, or the people of any other place on this earth.

headstone · 27/05/2024 21:41

There is something so cruel and evil about bombing refugees sheltering in tents. Shane on anyone who defends this.

I haven’t seen you demonstrate any compassion for the people in Gaza, all I have seen is you demonstrate anger when people talk about what is happening to the people in Gaza.

What makes you so angry about compassion for people who have had everything taken away from them, for the simple reason of living in Gaza?

I hope that you manage to work through whatever it is that has caused all this anger.

Netanyahu says deadly Rafah airstrike a 'tragic mishap'

Benjamin Netanyahu has described the deadly Israeli airstrike on a camp for displaced Palestinians in the southern Gaza city of Rafah as a “tragic mishap”.

“We are investigating the case, that is our policy,” Netanyahu said in a speech at the Knesset on Monday, Haaretz reported.

The Israeli leader added that “for us, every uninvolved [being hurt] is a tragedy,” it added. He claimed the incident occurred “despite our best efforts not to hurt them”.

What an absolute barbarian he is. "Mishap". Oopsie daisies we burned 45 people alive and removed a baby's head. Absolute prick.

What’s his excuse for all the other people who’ve suffered horrendous death and injuries.

queenofarles · 27/05/2024 21:48

This is beyond atrocious , carried out by a government which prides itself on being the most democratic country in the region, the most moral army in the region.
no one can even start justifying it.
there are images of a decapitated baby , charred bodies , people reduced to pieces ,
Israel could have easily avoided this Genocide .
there is simply no excuse .

BorgQueen · 27/05/2024 21:48

They weren’t targetting the refugee camp 🙄 They targetted a Hamas weapons dump, which caused the fire when the munitions exploded. Blame Hamas for deliberately putting civilians in harms way, again.
Hamas will happily sacrifice every single Palestinian Woman and child for their ‘cause’, which is to destroy Israel.

I mean the USA also thinks it's a democracy when it's actually one of the biggest threats to democracy in the world, and has been for 50 years. Neither country has a clue about democratic values.

By your logic, if a single Hamas operative was in a nursery of babies and toddlers - that's a legitimate target?

Just bomb the lot of them.

Me neither. It's unbelievable and abhorrent.
