I’ve seen the video on instagram the pride in the solider saying he shot a 12 year old ans now wants to shoot baby - sickening.

There are videos of children being stripped and detained. Some of them were even posted by the offical Israeli army twitter page.

They probably have one of the highest 'this tweet no longer exists' statuses.

Its basically a free for all in Gaza and the West Bank now.

You can kill whoever you want and steal whatever you want. A lot of the sickos are just posting about it on social media, god knows why. They must be really secure in the fact that they can get away with it.

Sadly I can completely believe it's a free for all having seen comments. I feel so sorry for people trapped there.

@Parkingt111 yep this is the way the IDF treat 'ordainary' non-Hamas sympathising Palestinians who are trying against the odds to do an already difficult job

Or maybe it's actually the job they're doing and the anti Red/Crescent sentiment which is driving this?

Thomas White, the director of UNRWA affairs in Gaza, has accused Israel of firing on an aid convey.

In a post to social media he said:

Israeli soldiers fired at an aid convoy as it returned from Northern Gaza along a route designated by the Israeli Army – our international convoy leader and his team were not injured but one vehicle sustained damage – aid workers should never be a target.

Just a shade under 56000 Palestinians [mainly women and children] have been injured whilst at the same time almost all hospital-based care has been destroyed

@Efacsen where are all the men? Just out of interest? I thought the balance of male/ female was pretty 50/50 population wise?

@moosmama123 IDK it's a bit of a mystery - looking at the figures it's hard to make it add up particularly as IDF claim to have killed so many Hamas fighters which should result in an excess of men?

Maybe the men leave Gaza for other countries, in order to be find work and send money home.

@BelleHathor but it's very difficult for anyone to leave Gaza at the best of times?

It's easier to understand why more children die as opposed to being injured as they fall thro' smaller 'cracks' in the rubble and can't be retrieved

50% of the population are children. 25% are women and 25% are men(roughly). Women and children make up 70% of the dead. That leaves 30% being men. So in answer to your question men are being killed too.

Yes like the video I saw yesterday of a father who had ventured out to find biscuits for his child and came home to find him dead. Killed by an Israeli strike

Or like the woman who I saw whose young daughter has been killed by a strike and was cursing the IDF saying Hamas target you in the night, and in response you target the women and children in the day rather than fighting Hamas. Ofcourse that's not a verified source and she was clearly extremely distressed but I have seen this rhetoric said many times now, the deliberate targeting of women and children. Its something we will never know for sure I suppose.

If targeting tunnel entrances/exits which are in/under the houses then anyone at home is just 'collateral damage'

@Efacsen just speculating, as even the deaths due to combat don't account for the discrepancy.

Usually in migrant populations it the men who go abroad to study/work. So thought maybe Gazans do this too, as they were allowed to leave via the Rafaj, Egypt border.

@BelleHathor I might be wrong but I don't think that there is a culture of working abroad in Gaza because people aren't allowed passports and Israel controls who comes and goes

Even adding in the Gazans working in Israel it's only about 30k out of a male population of 500k

@Efacsen Thanks for the information. I have no idea then for the discrepancy. Though I have learned how difficult it is/was for Gazans to leave.

I’m very intrigued to see the reporting and international response to Russia’s recent air strikes on Ukraine. I think any ‘Putin is a monster’ rhetoric from politicians will sound pretty empty and hypocritical while Israel goes mad dog on Palestinian children. Unless any US or UK politicians want to admit that brown skin doesn’t matter/they’re profiting from the mass murder of Palestinians.
