Netanyahu discussing "voluntary immigration" of Gaza citizens with countries who are negotiating to accept them in exchange for payment. It's interesting that it being called "voluntary immigration", I doubt there will be anything truly voluntary about it and technically it will be emigration but that word will be problematic because it acknowledges that Gazans will be leaving their home country.

I suspect the level of destruction in Gaza is designed to incentivise "volunteers" by making it uninhabitable.

I'm sure our dear leaders will find a way to make ethnic cleansing sound like a positive outcome.

https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-12-26/ty-article/israeli-mk-israel-has-received-inquiries-from-countries-to-accept-refugees-from-gaza/0000018c-a50e-d408-a99f-ed5ec4f00000

It's being reported in multiple news outlets. The Netanyahu government are planning ethnic cleansing in plain sight and with the support of many developed western democracies who like to think they lead the way on human rights. What a a very unfunny joke.

stormy4319trevor · 26/12/2023 22:44

@FOJN Nothing voluntary about leave or you will die - from bombs, snipers, famine, lack of health care, disease. It was always in the works to displace as many as possible. The US did say, a while back, that there should be no expulsion of residents from Gaza, but I wonder if that was just for show.

not sure if this is the best thread to post this but someone shared this with me so I wanted to pass it on in case it helps anyone. It looks like there is also an option to volunteer your time if you’re a mental health professional.

Disclaimer, I haven’t used this company and so can’t vouch for the quality of their service/care. Please do your own diligence/research if you choose to use them.

Correction above states

'That headline did not match the article, which made clear that the organs were not taken only from Palestinians. This was a serious editing error and the headline has been changed online to reflect the text of the story written by the reporter. '

Israeli President Herzog signing shells that will be used to kill Palestinian children.

I see the incorrect story from 2009 which was shared here has been taken down. It's why I linked to the correction. Finding any old incorrect stuff to push hatred is wrong. Continuing hatred will keep this war going.

Negotiations and hamas terrorists surrender would mean the war could end quickly and rebuild. I fear hamas will hold on to the bitter end despite innocent people dying around them. Israel won't allow hamas to come for them again so they won't stop unless a change of leadership. Meanwhile more innocent people die.

@braticus how bloody awful. How can anyone look at what he's doing and think it is ok?

Looking at the article linked in the correction, that has the amended headline, so I assume the amended one is correct? If that is the one that was shared?

BelleHathor · 27/12/2023 11:14

The amended headline is correct and was the one shared in Khalisses tweet. So a headline that wasn't even in the tweet was "debunked".

mostblobs · 27/12/2023 11:18

@BelleHathor thanks for confirming. Good to clarify.

The comment was that Israel stole Palestinian organs.....

I followed the link to the 2009 article. I shared the corrected information. Does the hatred have no bounds? How on earth will Palestinian and Israel ever agreed to peace.

BelleHathor · 27/12/2023 11:34

@mostblobs no problem at all. I double checked the tweet this morning.

Khalisse's tweet contained a screenshot of the amended headline. No hatred here, you provided context. Regardless of Israeli or Palestinian what was done to the bodies was abhorrent.

XRAYTHIS · 27/12/2023 11:39

The original link did not say the following 'We should not have put the headline "Israel admits harvesting Palestinian organs" on a story about an admission, by the former head of the Abu Kabir forensic institute near Tel Aviv, that during the 1990s specialists at the institute harvested organs from the bodies of Israeli soldiers, Israeli citizens, Palestinians and foreign workers without getting permission from the families of the deceased (21 December, page 15). That headline did not match the article, which made clear that the organs were not taken only from Palestinians. This was a serious editing error It merely commented on how low the Israeli go. Hatred will keep.this war going on and on.

The context is vital in the story to prevent hatred.

Thanks for clarification. So much harm done on twitter with the hatred

braticus · 27/12/2023 11:52

In any case it is being reported that bodies of Palestinians have been returned to Gaza missing organs.

politicstoday.org/organ-theft-israel-palestine/

"The allegations of organ theft by Israel have triggered international outcry, with human rights organizations and activists demanding a thorough investigation into the matter."

stomachamaleon · 27/12/2023 11:54

@XRAYTHIS that is happening a lot. Untruths and manipulations to accelerate hatred.

stomachamaleon · 27/12/2023 11:55

@braticus interesting the Red Cross are coming under fire again.

@braticus Yes I read several disturbing articles about this. Awful if true.

braticus · 27/12/2023 12:09

Slaughtering thousands of children is what sows hatred.

stomachamaleon · 27/12/2023 12:22

@braticus and yet Hamas continue to fire rockets from their homes. How perverse is that?

mostblobs · 27/12/2023 13:49

braticus · 27/12/2023 12:09

Slaughtering thousands of children is what sows hatred.

Agree. And I believe that without efforts to expose what is going on on both sides, things will get worse. We can't allow war crimes and serious misconduct to go unseen. For good reason.
