Do people really not understand why the IDF make suspected terrorists strip and unlike your average war between armies, Palestinian fighters do not have a distinct uniform, unlike the IDF, and hide amongst civilians?

Why do people keep perpetuating such falsehoods?

If Israel doesn’t pay for it’s crimes then there is no justice in the world.

Journalist Muhammed balousha shot by Israeli sniper and bleeding before losing phone connections

Edited

It looks like it was his leg. Have there been any more reports on his condition? I hope he managed to get help. ☹️

I really hope they do. But it already feels like there isn't any justice in the world.

jammysocks · 17/12/2023 09:52

@10UsernamesNotAvailableTryAnotherOne not that I have seen. Just looked at his Instagram. He hasn't posted for 4 days. But shared another news channel where he spoke to them about what happened to him on his story 16 hours ago. So hopefully he's received some medical care.

It's arabic and I'm not fluent. So.going by the comments he is ok at the moment.

It was reported by Al Jazeera yesterday but no follow up report on his condition -?due to telecoms blackout since Thursday?

Injury seemed to be to his thigh but impossible to assess severity from pics or info provided

Cantonet · 17/12/2023 10:06

There was a report yesterday on a massacre of a large number of Palestinian men in a field in the North I think. But I've heard nothing further.

These links are disgusting. How the pro Israel contingent on here can still defend them is beyond me. The Israeli army must be held responsible for these continued atrocities, most of which we'll never know. I see Ben Wallace now calling for a ceasefire and saying that Netanyahu and his army will be causing people to become radicalised more and more as these inhuman atrocities are shown around the world. Wonder if Richi regrets saying "I hope you win".

feralunderclass · 18/12/2023 08:55

I just heard Elon Levy on R4 saying Israel is working very hard not to kill civilians. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic. He also said it was Hamas who killed the two women in the Catholic church.

jammysocks · 18/12/2023 09:10

@ssd that ship has sailed I think! If it is going to cause people to be radicalised then that would have happened years ago. Especially as the IDF are radicalised themselves. I think considering the Palestinians have been kept in an open air prison for 75 years. I'm actually surprised something like this hasn't happened earlier. Not condoning actions at all. Just think they have been incredibly patient all these years.

I also think that the IDF and UK and USA governments are probably hoping for radicalisation. It will help their cause when they want to go after other places too.

So which country is next do you think? They will claim radicalised and more hamas are there and will move there when they are finished in gaza. You can see they have already started on lebanon.

Desertrose2023 · 18/12/2023 09:56

This is a good report by MSNBC and worth a watch/share. It’s basically a compilation of allegations of unlawful/inappropriate conduct against the Israeli army since 07/10. Effectively an IDF greatest hits.

Journalist mohammed elhelo talking about how he was forced to strip and interrogated because he is a journalist.

He discovered he had thyroid cancer several months ago and was due an operation but the sar broke out before he could. He decided to continue documenting even though he is ill.

Turkey has offered to treat 1500 cancer patients - and they are slowly but surely being evacuated there - hopefully this poor man is on the list to go

jammysocks · 19/12/2023 08:15

@Efacsen I hope so but I think it would be hard for him to get on the list as a journalist and I don't know if he is willing to stop documenting. He has a strong sense of responsibility in doing so. I hope he gets the help and if it's offered I hope he takes it.

Yeah the Israeli gov keep quite powerful control on who leaves even medical evacuees and there's no certainty that any of the patients will be allowed to return once recovered

Tho' maybe they would be glad to see him out of the country?
