So presuming at best 5,500 babies born that month and about 8000 Palestinians killed that month, the deaths cancel out the births, and the births do not replace the deaths. There is a shortfall I think.
That is if all those 5,500 mothers/babies stayed alive - which obviously not all of them would have by any means. And some of those newborn babies who are alive so far but very ill, may not make it, given conditions there.
If the population stayed static instead of growing, that would not be typical for Palestinians, but it does even not look as though it is static in this period.
