@Parkingt111 I'm sorry. I just wondered if any one knew more about it. I think the IDF said it wasn't officially set up by them, so you'd think it would be taken down.

Excerpt from the report:

In a statement, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said 72 Virgins is not operated on the IDF’s behalf. “If there was any connection by soldiers or other parties connected to the IDF with the page or its operation, this was done without approval and without authority.” However, as mentioned, a senior military official confirmed that the channel was systematically operated by IDF personnel.
……………

I’d say, in other words, it is basically the IDF!

😢😢😢 I know they have no respect for mosques or churches but still...

Israeli army running amok, tantalising and inciting, and wanting as much carnage as possible.

Obviously no fear of bad karma, and imo the people who did this either don’t believe in God anyway, or really think the One God is only theirs.

Parkingt111 · 14/12/2023 20:29

@mindthespace that made me so angry
Apparently those soldiers have been suspended now although who knows for how long.
It wasn't even in Gaza but occupied west bank.
It was clearly done to be disrespectful and provoke.

Just imagine the uproar if it had been a synagogue and the screams that would have quite rightly accompanied it.

Places of worship shouldn't be attacked. But we see the way the solders treat Al Aqsa generally. I don't know why I'm surprised.

Heartbreaking thread about a little boy with special needs who has died from hunger in Gaza 💔

I wish we could make this stop. I'm so disgusted with our government.

Desertrose2023 · 15/12/2023 07:14

Another example of the IDF’s horrific mistreatment of Palestinian men it is detaining in the West Bank city of Jenin. They enjoy the ritual degradation. Disgusting.

I don't know how anyone can support what is happening anymore.
I didn't think we'd see anything so bad in my lifetime but i was wrong. Human beings don't learn from history.

Doubt it was enforced. They don't care. It's disgusting that they can do these things- then pretend to give a quick slap on the wrist and all is forgiven. Shame on them.

Not sure if this is the right place for this

Eighty-five Palestinian athletes killed in war, Palestinian report says

The Palestinian Football Association says it has documented the killing of 85 Palestinian athletes, including 55 football players and 30 players in other sports, since the start of the war, the Palestinian news agency Wafa is reporting.

The association said in a report on Thursday that Israeli forces “targeted Palestinian athletes and sports facilities, especially football players and club presidents, administrators, referees and others”, according to Wafa.

The report said the football players killed included 18 children and 37 youths, including two in the West Bank, while four players were wounded in the Gaza Strip between 7 October and 6 December.

It said Israeli bombing had led to the destruction of nine sports facilities – four in the West Bank and five in the Gaza Strip.

The report said Israeli forces detained three athletes in the West Bank, while in the Gaza Strip the number “is infinite in light of the number of missing people there”.

Destroying everyone, and everything. Culture, arts, sports, people, healthcare facilities, places of recreation, religious venues, children, babies, families.

Exclusive: Nearly half of the Israeli munitions dropped on Gaza are imprecise ‘dumb bombs,’ US intelligence assessment finds

Nearly half of the air-to-ground munitions that Israel has used in Gaza in its war with Hamas since October 7 have been unguided, otherwise known as “dumb bombs,” according to a new US intelligence assessment.
^^
The assessment, compiled by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and described to CNN by three sources who have seen it, says that about 40-45% of the 29,000 air-to-ground munitions Israel has used have been unguided. The rest have been precision-guided munitions, the assessment says.

Unguided munitions are typically less precise and can pose a greater threat to civilians, especially in such a densely populated area like Gaza. The rate at which Israel is using the dumb bombs may be contributing to the soaring civilian death toll.

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden said Israel has been engaged in “indiscriminate bombing” in Gaza.

@ScrollingLeaves Good point. I shouldn't have taken the tweet at face value and I can't actually find another source so I've asked for my post to be removed.

XRAYTHIS · 15/12/2023 11:44

I read many posts of indiscriminate bombing then other posts suggesting that they target sports players and journalists. Which is it.

From a pure maths perspective and setting aside the dreadful hunan tragedy then 2.5 million in a small area with 20,000 dead would suggest not carpet bombing as some claim since a huge number are not hit.

Others suggest that if they really wanted to commit genocide then actual carpet bombing would mean more dead. The birth rate is higher than the death rate so from a maths perspective alone they won't wipe out a people.

If Hamas would surrender, highly unlikely and the Israeli government lay down arms at the same time then proper talks could begin. Neither seems likely at present so more children suffer.

So in the indiscriminate bombing perhaps said journalists who are in the middle of the fighting and danger areas are picked out. Carpet bombing avoids sports people who need to be selected for separate attacks.

See recent report by US intelligence on IDFs indiscriminate bombing on XNN

Approx 50% dumb bombs for Hamas and anyone nearby
Approx %0% guided missiles for Hamas and other targetted groups

@mostblobs

When carpet bombing in such a densely populated area the maths suggests more deaths.

In case anyone cannot read above the maths suggests 250,000 deaths for carpet bombing. Thankfully, small mercies it's not
