@EmberLight sorry I didn't realise English wasn't your first language? I can try and break it down for you if you like.
She can say what she likes in an area notorious for no freedom of press.
She travels in and out of Gaza (unusual)
Has new car (in a war zone?)
Posts things that can't be verified and if they are proved not to be true then ignores.
Lied about Israeli women and the sexual violence of 7/10.
Spreads misinformation.

That better?

I can't see anything on Bisans page or stories or broadcast to suggest this. Unless there's footage or posts that I am not privy to but you are? Please can you share your evidence to support your claims.

stomachameleon · 07/01/2024 10:36

Bisan published on her page various denials of the sexual violence against women.

I have already posted about when she spoke about the bomb going off at the hospital that turned out not to be true.

@Humdingerydoo there is lots of footage of children involved in 7/10.
So they have every reason to detain them.

Recording detained stripped children contravenes IHL

Regarding Bisan Owda:

"In regards to the October 7 massacres, she said "For every action, there is a reaction. This means: What was expected after 75 years of occupation and 17 years of siege?", and presented disinformation about the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital explosion; she alleged that 800 people were killed by an Israeli airstrike on the hospital, when the emerging consensus is that between two and three hundred people died when an Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket fell short."

This is the person being defended on a thread about the atrocities of Hamas.

I've missed this post. Which hospital are you referring to?

SomeCatFromJapan · 07/01/2024 10:48

It's in my post above yours. Al-Ahli hospital.

SomeCatFromJapan · 07/01/2024 11:03

I think people should be mindful of the situation for people like them and Bisan at the moment trying to survive and work under Israeli bombardment.

Coming onto a thread about Hamas atrocities and demanding that people "be mindful" of their mouthpieces is breathtaking entitlement.

quantumbutterfly · 07/01/2024 11:19

There wouldn't be an Israeli bombardment without the actions of Oct7th and the existential threat of hamas.

I don't think the characterisation of her is fair.

I also don't think murdering journalists because you (Israel) don't like what they say is OK.

Maybe the journalists that have died because of this war in Gaza would still be alive if hamas hadn't started the fight.

You're justifying the murder of journalists. What is wrong with you?

In retrospect I could be more circumspect, but in this pointless war of words it's wrong to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Yes, because BUT HAMAS!!! is such cutting edge analysis at this stage of things 😅

(Israel Radio Second Channel):

Former Head of Israeli Military Intelligence, Amos Yadlin, says that the IDF know precisely where Hamas head, Yahya Sinwar, is located in Gaza but is inhibited from eliminating him because he has surrounded himself with many of the remaining living Israeli hostages who are serving as human shields.

Such an impossible situation 😞

@EllaDisenchanted that's awful and so limiting as to what they can do. Also what a coward.

Bisan is tagged, so it will show up on her tagged page and she also posted it to her stories. She chose to put her name to this and platform rape denial and apologists. I fail to see how denying Hamas atrocities will help anyone in Gaza apart from Hamas.
