And people are still saying it's unfair to call it a genocide.

Dulra · 09/05/2024 09:32

I hope there will be an independent investigation in Gaza once the IDF clear out because it is obvious there has been multiple war crimes and atrocities committed

Scirocco · 09/05/2024 09:34

This is murder.

When will people open their eyes and see it for exactly what it is

Efacsen · 09/05/2024 10:02

I wasn't going to start a new thread [we're on page 40] after the total destruction of al-Shifa - and more or less all the other hospitals too

But now clearly the full story hasn't been told yet so will do nearer the end of the thread

You're probably right, unfortunately. 🙁

Never any good news on this thread

Gaza's health system could collapse in 'few hours', authorities say

Gaza’s health ministry has said the health system across the enclave could collapse in a “few hours” without fuel for hospital generators.

“A few hours separate us from the collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip as a result of the failure to bring in the fuel necessary to operate electricity generators in hospitals, ambulances, and transport employees,” the ministry was quoted by Al Jazeera as saying in a post on social media.

COGAT_IDF claim to have delivered fuel via Kerem Shalom a couple of days ago - either still stranded there or a pitifully small amount - it's not clear

Indonesian field hospital in Rafah was being evacuated yesterday [MSF] and Kuwaiti hospital in Rafah is in the new evacuation zone leaving Rafah with virtually no hospitals

Thanks for the updates. Maybe one day there will be good news 😣

EasterIssland · 13/05/2024 22:09

@Efacsen let us know when the new thread is be created please so we can post there. I fear that once rafah is siege we will see new cemeteries in hospitals

Thank you for posting that article.

Israel has blocked fuel, food, and water from entering Rafah for over a week, leading to severe dehydration among the general population, as well as among the doctors on mission.

American doctors who have only been there a short time are dehydrated. Imagine how unwell Palestinians
must be. How does Israel think these poor people, old people and children among them, who have to walk, can evacuate the area fast in this state?

Palestinians flee chaos and panic in Rafah after Israel's seizure of border crossing

Families uprooted multiple times by the war are unsure where to go: to the half-destroyed city of Khan Younis, or to an Israeli-declared “humanitarian zone” in Gaza.

They don't care. If they die by bombings or dehydration it's all the same to them. Dying from causes other than Israeli bombs/bullets keeps the official death toll down too. Absolutely disgusting people.

Overcrowded Al-Aqsa Hospital is barely walkable as more patients stream in

Reporting from Deir el-Balah, Gaza

Over the past two days, wounded patients have been transferred from various hospitals and field hospitals into the central area, particularly to Al-Aqsa Hospital.
An hour ago, we walked inside the hospital’s corridor. It is so overcrowded that we could barely walk. The rooms are packed with people. Every patient has at least one or two family members with them, literally staying on the floor.

The situation is getting dire by the hour. The overcrowded conditions are putting more pressure on medical staff and medical supplies, which are already barely enough due to the ongoing closure of the crossings.

This is the sixth day in a row of no entry of supplies, including fuel. We have been told by hospital officials that we are hours away from the hospital having to shut down major departments.
