Ethnic cleansing

Netanyahu has confirmed that Gaza will be occupied by Israel when the bombing stops, with no role for the UN.

Now tell me how this isn't ethnic cleansing ?

Yeah I admit it's a tricky one. Standing aside to let it go on, or do something about it. And yes, there were only losers in WWII (equally nasty actions had to be done to bring it to an end - Hiroshima). Sort of similar to what Israel is doing now perhaps...I dunno. It's all a mess to be honest this long standing conflict between the two sides. I just regret the hate and division is being spread to our shores. It's bringing out the woodwork the bad in our society.

I wouldn’t trust this. Even with the insults.

Would you stake your safety on them fading away?

When people have peace, something to lose and material distractions the room for terrorist ideology to grow is given less oxygen to grow. People are more likely to grass on them as well as they value their own status quo. But that is only the case when you give them something to cherish and freedom to use it as their own.

The whole Middle East is based on that concept. They are all happy to live with materialistic distractions and live bubbles without a care for their right to protest or vote just as long as they have the materialistic distractions and the freedom to enjoy them without fear of injustice.

It will work. what we do know for a fact is the Israeli way definitely does not work for anyone. It would be the definition of insanity to try it again.

I think Sunak made a deal with the devil when he reappointed her and not sure what the terms and conditions were. We might still have her yet…

its not ethnic cleansing, it’s called cleaning house.

Ah, euphemisms for mass murder and land grabs. The language of murderous extremists the world over, from the Khmer Rouge, Stalin, Salazar etc etc etc.

Desertrose2023 · 12/11/2023 05:28

It is ethnic cleansing. The Israelis are totally open about their intentions, they don’t even try to hide it. It’s just the pro-Israelis outside of Israel that are too embarrassed to admit what is going on in the name.

Hamas won’t disappear that willingly so you’ll have an issue with how to govern with their continued presence and aims

As for people being happy I don’t think all get a say, particularly women.

Reallifelurker · 12/11/2023 08:48

I am also at a loss to not understand who Hamas has not given back the two hundred odd Jewish hostages it has so that the bombing might stop and peace talks could start

I can’t say I am tbh but I do wonder what Hamas were hoping to achieve. Maybe they took the hostages in the hope that would stop Israel attacking (given that it had already been proved the presence of Palestinian civilians wouldn’t).

Hamas don’t seem to be the problem at the moment. Yes, they gave the Israeli government a reason to start the war but it’s clear their agenda is different. Didn’t you see the the insta links shared 2-3 posts up by @desertrose2023 ?

This is patently not true if you watch the footage of the barriers being smashed and hordes of Gazans, including boys, swarming in to have some fun.

You don’t think it’s possible these Gazans were actually members of Hamas then?

Some of them must have been, but by no means all.

At 01:11 , the Muslim journalist and women's rights activist Dr Qanta Ahmed, who was invited to the 45-min screening of the atrocities, says it's clear that hundreds and perhaps thousands of civilians repeatedly crossed the border to participate in the 7 October attacks.

From 07:24 , a survivor of the Nova festival describes most of the looting and raping being carried out by ordinary Gazan civilians. Hamas wore bulletproof vests and carried guns, but the rest were "people just like you and me, in blue jeans and sneakers," who flooded in with pickup trucks etc. At 15:24, she repeatedly emphasizes that it was civilians who raped and burned women alive.

At 01:30 , another Nova survivor, refers to "the terrorists" and then corrects himself to "people from Gaza" when describing the way they raped and butchered girls, either stabbing them to death after/during the rape or before it. They used knives, not guns.

I suspect it was the civilians who took the scalps, eyes, limbs, lips, breasts etc back to Gaza, to show off as hunting trophies, like Shani Louk's body. The predatory excitement is visible and audible e.g. . How many of these look like trained Hamas operatives to you?

Video captures a bulldozer tearing down a portion of the fence that marked the Israel-Gaza border after Hamas launched its biggest attack on Israel in decade...

You reap what you sow. Israel decided it was best to corner a jackal and acted all shocked when they got bit. Zero sympathy here.

Just highlighting this putrid comment for anyone who missed it.

ChalkWitch · 12/11/2023 09:43

@æterofax i think you must have been taking the crazy pills. Not only a disgusting comment but you are ill informed.

The nazis did murder other ethnic groups but mostly they killed Jewish people. 6 million of them. They also killed 5 million people of other ethnic groups. Combined. I have never heard that Israel do not like people to bring this up so where did you come across that?

Reallifelurker · 12/11/2023 10:54

Some of them must have been, but by no means all.

How can you know that though? They weren’t members of Hamas because they were wearing jeans and had knives? 😵‍💫

The attacks were obviously carefully planned and carried out by people who were organised not a bunch of people randomly piling through a gap in the wall.

ssd · 12/11/2023 10:58

I notice a lot on here how the 'but hamas' crowd love to give gory details about what happened in the hamas attack but ignore how 10000 Palestinians have been killed in equally gruesome deaths.

If only the issue of a terrorist organisation in power could be resolved as easily as posting ‘but Hamas crowd’ on mn

Right... Have you even watched the footage? If anything ever looked like a bunch of people randomly piling through a gap (in a "wall"?!? - you do know this is not East Berlin on 9 Nov 1989...?!), this is surely it.

I don't enjoy reiterating gory details, but it seems they are forgotten or overlooked entirely. How do you think Israel should have responded to what happened?

stormy4319trevor · 12/11/2023 12:09

I really don't understand what is the point of starving, maiming, torturing and killing 10 000 and rising civilians - if Israel and its supporters still don't know what they are going to do about Hamas? What was the point of this massacre, can anyone say?

Reallifelurker · 12/11/2023 12:18

So you're saying that the rapes, lootings, burning alive, mutilations etc were "obviously carefully planned and carried out by people who were organised"?
