To think Israel won't exist much longer?

Support in the west is declining, and when Israel doesn't have weapons and defense funding they won't be able to defend against their neighbouring countries on their own. AIBU to wonder how much longer it can exist given they are losing support?

I think it's convenient for the Israeli government that Hamas are so difficult to see-nobody can disprove what they say when they bomb ambulances and refugee camps. Oh but Hamas were hiding inside, we hear. I can't help thinking "hmm. Maybe they were. Maybe they weren't."

I'm sure Israel would prefer to fight them out in the open - why don't you ask Hamas to do that?

But out in the open Hamas just massacre families in their homes and record it on go-pros.

You honestly think Hamas don't hide in civilian populations? After all you have seen Hamas capable of?

I'm quite sure.people who can shoot children in their beds, torture them - are capable of seeing their own civilians as disposable.

This thread could bring one to despair.

History is complicated and instead most just focus on this idea of a Palestinian genocide (a genocide over decades doesn't see some of the fastest population growth in the world).

It forgets Israel has a 20% population of arabs (Palestinians who accepted Israel and live with rights that most in the middle east could only dream of- including language rights).

It somehow allows Hamas' actions to be separated from Palestinian cause but also implicitly supports it- Hamas is the defacto govt of Gaza. It also mixes the

What is happening is tragic - the civilian losses.

Hamas needs to go and Gaza needs a non-corrupt, non-hating, non-misogynist, pro-education, pro-woman government.

Instead Hamas are simply barbarians. And sadly to stop barbarians you have to be a barbarian.

Do you know that 3200 Palestinians working in Israel have been sent back to Gaza after 07/10? Why?
The Palestinian genocide is happening now! The Israeli government is a fascist government, hell bent on raising Gaza to the ground; then it will be the turn of the West Bank. What is happening is not tragic; it is indefensible, evil and deliberate.
You show your ignorance, concerning education in Gaza. Gaza ranks as having one of the highest literacy rates in the world, despite the best effort of the USA (by withdrawing funds to UNWRA) and Israel to shut down schools. Read what the mayor of Jerusalem has stated about this.
Finally, you posted " Hamas are barbarians ( I agree) and sadly to stop barbarians you have to be a barbarian". So you admit that what is happening to Palestinians is indeed barbaric and you support it. I hope your conscience is clear.

AGovernmentOfLawsAndNotMen · 05/11/2023 11:37

Israel don’t want to fight Hamas out in the open.
Netanyahu does not want a 2 state solution.
Netanyahu said that in the UN conference in September of this year. He even presented a nice map with just Israel in it!

How will fighting out in the open help his aim. Then he’ll only kill Hamas.

Convenient?! I wouldn't fancy being in the IDF right now...

@PaleOctopus those fighters you are so admiring are the ones who carried out an horrific terrorist attack less than a month ago, slaughtering and torturing children and babies.

Yet other posters here deny that anyone supports Hamas. I've taken a screenshot for anyone who keeps stating that.

You are a terrorist supporter.

Yes they are

HoldOnMiGenna · 05/11/2023 12:32

The mealy mouthedness of covert terror support was never going to hold in these threads.
It's nice, from a mental health point of view of course that the not so quiet part is being said out aloud.
Being gaslit and the gaslighters hiding behind sanctimony, a loud conviction that their word is the only one that counts and hyper emotionalism that doesn't ring authentic as much as a conduit for something else ( what could that be?) Is the worst thing.
Better out than in, I say.

PaleOctopus · 05/11/2023 12:43

Wishing fascists would stop occupying and bombing children = being bad guy.

Neville Chamberlain called, he wants his appeasement strategy back.

They're definitely outing themselves. Compulsively.

Yes, it's the only reason I'm not reporting it. Know your enemy.

Not a chance.

Israel will be there for good. In my humble opinion, they will ALWAYS have support for weapons and funding for defence as right minded governments realise what is really going on here.

Sorry to spoil the hopes of some posters on here.

Cue the vitriol...

LaDerniereVacheFolle · 06/11/2023 12:28

Jupitersstorm absolutely. The OP and others can create goady post titles like this one as frequently as they like (free speech and all that - we're not exactly Iran.)

But they're essentially pissing in the wind.

No I don't mean that.

I mean what I said: right minded governments.
adjective

  1. having sound views and principles.
  2. "it was evident to Jack and to most right-minded people"

And thank goodness we still have some.

Anyone supporting the carpet bombing of homes, hospitals and schools doesn’t have sound views and principles.

Well I believe in the Western governments' sound views and principles in their support for Israel to eradicate a terrorist regime.

Terrorists carpet bomb indiscriminate hospitals, schools and homes.
This is not the act of a legitimate army.

The world has started to wise up to this

You're kind of right. Eradicating indigenous populations is a western government specialty.

Watch ErdoÄŸan's propaganda? No thanks.

piddocktrumperiness · 06/11/2023 16:34

@calyrex Avigail is on many platforms though? And her story is the same, she's been advocating for peace for decades so I don't understand your hesitation
It's not like she's got a gun to her head when talking about this.
