Yet more from what happened in Russia and how it not only affected Jews but scared non Jews too. If we don't want this stuff to start here now is the time to be vocal about hate crimes and not be tolerant of voices fan or celebrate hate:

"The mob at the airport also prevented buses from leaving the airport, with video showing a group of men demanding to see the passports of terrified parents and their crying children to check if they were from Israel.

A woman trapped on one arriving plane said children on board were crying and left terrified as they saw the angry mob descend onto the tarmac after the authorities lost control.

The angry mob was demanding the expulsion of Jews from the Dagestan region where they have lived for thousands of years. Yet it took the Kremlin hours to respond to the chaotic scenes, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying it was the result of 'outside influence'.

Mr Peskov said 'ill-wishers' had used widely seen images of suffering in Gaza to stir people up in the predominantly Muslim region in the north Caucasus."

That is correct. In London and around the world protesters waved flags, set of fire works and sang within hours of the 7th October pogrom starting. Whilst even more people took to social media calling it a joyful event, saying how wonderful Hamas were and various other sickening things.

Sweets were also being handed out in places here and around the world. A gesture that happens in Gaza after an Israeli is killed. Hamas and supporters hand out sweets to the citizens to celebrate. The fact that anyone in Britain things this is ok to do here is frankly alarming to most people, not only Jews.

It also takes one quick search on Google/ YouTube and the like, to see Israeli citizens celebrating the deaths of the Palestinian people. Young people on TikTok mocking the dying, suffering people of Gaza. But hey, Hamas though right. Monsters.

Stomacharmeleon · 30/10/2023 13:59

@Nervousandexcitedd they were out celebrating before Israel started its response. So literally celebrating before the bodies were cold.
You look hard enough you can find anything to suit your bias.

@Nervousandexcitedd and yes Hamas literally terrorists.... recognised so..... so you are saying Hamas are not monsters? After everything they did?

Interesting logic, you seem to think only one side can be right or wrong. When it comes to vile or hateful behaviour both side have people willing to participate in that.

This doesn't make what Hamas and th supporters did the good guys and not monsters!

Please give your head a wobble and understand this isn't a game for people to win. Nobody wins in conflict or when people spread hate.

Yes some posters keep saying they hope Israel wins and even sunak said the British hoped israel won.

this is not a competition I agree. Both sides are behaving disgustingly

Well that and those that are rooting for Hamas and the destruction of a state with 9 million citizens. Leading to the biggest refugee crisis in history and actual genocide of anyone that stays. Genocide being what Hamas has said they will do to any Jew that stay if they ever win. I agree with you Israel and Britain should not talk about winning and losing either. Biden should definitely not have talked about teams. These are all just men flexing their muscles. It solves nothing.

"Two police officers stripped the outside of Cullimore Chemist in Edgware, North London of flyers of the missing innocents after receiving calls from residents concerned about tension within the community.

Some locals in the area, which is home to a sizeable Jewish community, have slammed the officers over their 'disgusting actions'. But the Met has insisted they were merely taking steps to 'stop issues escalating' and to 'avoid community tension'.

In a statement, the force said that the missing posters were hung in 'retaliation' for comments about the Israel-Hamas war - including branding Israel and the IDF as 'filthy animals' - that were posted online by an alleged member of the chemist's staff. Police said a print of out the remarks was also hung outside the shop.

Officers removed the posters and the comments because they have a 'responsibility to take reasonable steps to stop issues escalating and to avoid any further increase in community tension,' the force said.

Investigators are also reviewing the alleged staff member's social media post for possible offences."

A Football Association today launched an investigation after a youth match involving a Jewish team had to be abandoned because opposition parents refused to let their children play against them.

Parents of two players from the under-14 team Panthera pulled their children out of the match against a team called the Maccabi Lions because the team contained Jewish players, it is claimed.

(This one is very sickening, social services shouldbe called if tbis is true. Parents should not be using children to spread there hate)

@Trulywonderful, I am literally not quite certain about who is meant to have done what, based purely on the description!

So: was the issue that people put up posters you disagreed with? Tore the same down? Put up the "other" posters? "None of the above"- I have just utterly and completely misunderstood?

In either case: I have reported the post with the pictures, on the grounds that - even though I have no idea who and what these people are supposedly for or against and in the spitit of "our human rights must not be infringed upon": while I have no evidence as to who or what these people are supposedly for or against: I cannot support witch hunting on the internet! That would happen to include "even if they are on the side I support"!

I have also, in the same spirit, NOT reported the post without pictures of people - even though I really do not grasp what it is for or against - but it does not harm anyone, so that IS fully okay!

The photos are all over the newspaper websites. Available for everyone to see. Not photos I have taken myself or anything not in the main stream. I reckon most people coming to this thread get what is happening in them

"France has seen more antisemitic incidents in the last three weeks than over the past year: 501 offenses ranging from verbal abuse and antisemitic graffiti, to death threats and physical assaults have been reported. Antisemitic acts under investigation include groups gathering in front of synagogues shouting threats and graffiti such as the words “killing Jews is a duty” sprayed outside a stadium in Carcassonne in the southwest. The interior minister has deployed extra police and soldiers at Jewish schools, places of worship and community centers since the attacks, and in Sarcelles that means soldiers guard school pick-ups and drop-offs."

Hostage Posters are being taken down in Prestwich Manchester by Greater Manchester Police - videos on X starting to circulate.

also some idiot has spray painted boxes of live mice with Palestine colours and thrown them into McDonald’s restaurants somewhere in Birmingham shouting ‘free fucking Palestine’. Recorded for tik tok of course.
Minimum wage workers and people trying to order fast food now on the end of stupid shit like this as well as it being animal cruelty. I seriously worry what people like this are going to do next.

Trulywonderful · 30/10/2023 22:46

Oh nasty

Another reason for me to dislike Tiktok too

Trulywonderful · 30/10/2023 22:58

The Muslim Community are seeing a smaller rise but still a rise in these hate crimes too. Once people see others getting away with stuff they think they can behave how they want too. These hate crimes will spread unless dealt with properly.

"A petrol can thrown into the car park of a mosque is being treated as a potential hate crime, police have said.

Thames Valley Police said the empty red petrol can was hurled over a wall into the Oxford Mosque and Islamic Cultural Society on Saturday morning.

It was thrown from near the main entrance by a cyclist who is believed to have ridden from Cowley Road.

The petrol can had writing on it that "may be related to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza", police said."

The amusing smiles get to me every time. Seriously it takes a lot of myself control not to go into the city and guard some of these posters (Like some mad old lady!)

I have a very loud whistle and can put on a pretty good school mistress voice. The sods wouldn't now what had hit them. If I can handle seventy year 10 students at school, these idiots would be no problem.

Not going to do it because that would be unprofessional of me but oh I would like too

The US is ghastly for Jews these days. Been like that for a while now. Of course some universities like here are particularly bad. Not surprisingly the current conflict is going to make ot worse

They had some pretty scary physical attacks in New York during and after the 2021 conflict. Don't like to think what it is like their for Jewish people at the moment.

One of my cousins (a typical liberal leftie Jew from New York) moved last year to South Carolina and has stocked up on loads of guns. He has lost all faith in the 'liberal' establishment in the US to stand up for him or his family. It's particularly heartbreaking when he, like the vast majority of my relatives, is someone who has always fought for social justice, equality, civil rights, etc. But when it comes to justice, equality, civil rights for Jews, no one else there is standing with them.

Trulywonderful · 30/10/2023 23:48

Yes most Jews I know are like your cousin and very left thinking, challenge wrongs etc. This is very saddening and horrible. People have been standing up for other minority groups and injustices all their lifes. Yet most these organisations they have helped won't stand up against hate crimes against Jews. They won't speak out and just say that hating Jews is as wrong as hating other minorities.

And yet please say why do Jews need......(Will let you fill in the missing word)
