The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

hello ladies!!

I'm not testing this week, have decided to hang on and see if AF turns up within a half decent time frame (within 5weeks of the last) and if no show then test then probably get BFN and toddle off to doctor's to ask why my body won't frigging work. I didn't get any symptoms til 8weeks with DS so thankfully not driving myself crazy trying to spot either as it'd be waaaaaaaaaaaay too soon

New bed is comfy, whoop! We were at Pride all day and night saturday, flirting outrageously with gorgeous boys then taking poppers meant full on JS sesh upon returning home, then again yesterday during DS's nap (god I love the weekends!)

The heat is literally making me like a dog on heat - anyone else just feel like wearing less clothes day to day makes you just not want to really wear them at all?!

vallinnapod · 05/07/2010 17:01

Afternoon ladies! Just done with the consultant. She thought my doc had done a very good job. Still, another blood test and....wait for it....dildo-cam.... In 3 D. It it's good enough for the Shrek franchise, it's good enough for my ladybits. They (It?!) will be demanding an agent and box office rights soon. Had the blood test on the spot, dildo-cam is on Thursday and follow-up is next Monday. Me likey the speed!

BrassicaBabe · 05/07/2010 18:12

Sorry to hear about AF frakkit. No need to beat yourself up I'm sure. Another oppurtunity for JSing comes round quickly enough

Welcome newbies!

Hellooo 30 long time no post. Lurking, but not posting...everything ok?

Yeah for speedy appointment vallinna. Why dildo-cam mark II? Or simply for the private upgrade to 3D? Glad it's moving fast for you.

Does anyone find themselves sat "listening" to their insides and feeling all sorts of pains and twinges? I'm getting tiny stabbing pains inside. I'm on CD25 now. Don't know whether it happens every month or whether I'm just paying too close attention...

vallinnapod · 05/07/2010 18:47

Brassica - yeah, 3D is more sensitive. Whist the 'normal' one should no polycystic ovaries, if there are very small cysts then it'll pick them up. I think it is also the consultants probably want the peace of mind that their sonographers have carried out a scan therefore they are 100% happy with the results

I went completely OTT on the symptom spotting the first month into this saga. I thought I was going to be one of those people who got PG immediately. I was spotty, bloated, crampy etc....every little thing went into Google - not dissimilar to now tee hee!!

almostknockedupgirl · 06/07/2010 08:40

'Allo all!

Holiday is ovah, which makes me officially depressed -eurgh.

Grannyapple really sorry to hear about your FIL. Telling him about the sprog must have been very emotional indeed! And 10th Aug for a scan? That's light years away! Don't blame you for having one done privately! (And naughty, naughty you for getting my hopes up!)

takethatlady your boss sounds nuts!

Dellywyn, how sweet does your DH sond. Quite the detour you guys ended up taking there! Hope all goes well with your IUD removal!

Justkeepswimming your body and mine sound like they've been talking to each other. My head is messed up enough without mystery bleeding to figure out!

Rubbish about your period frakkit. Shag on, huh?

Nice to see you again 30! How did you spook yourself off the thraed??

And welcome back milanomum! being nice to the in-laws? You deserve some shagging as a treat! (And of course we have our own getup. Crotchless pants, shag capes, brazilians - the works! Can't be shagging superheroes without a supercostume now, can we?)

Whoa at the 3D dildo-cam vallinna! and PMSL at the if it's good enough for Shrek! Super speedy appointments though, hope they sort things out just as speedily!

Brassica I have been listening most intently, and have noticed all manner of interesting things, from vivid dreams, to pelvic twinges, to backache, to (whispers it) implantation bleeding, to sore boobs. I've got enough symptoms for about 10 pregnant ladies! Which means it's very likely to end in a period by the weekend, but nevermind.

Right, I should go and do some work. If I can remember what that is again...

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 08:42

vallinna - good luck for Thurs, hope it shows something - have not read history but do you think you might have PCOS? I had it before DS1, an u/s scan showed tonnes of cysts on both ovaries (had been on pill for 13+ years and convinced that did it), went on Metformin, ov'ed within a few weeks, had early scans due to bleeding, a 5ish week scan showed totally clear ovaries, except for a shadow on one where i had ov'ed and an 8ish week scan showed totally clear ovaries.

Then i got pg by accident with DS2. So that 'theory' that pg clears it up is true for me.
AFAIK i OV regularly now so it's all behind me, but def check out Metformin if you can.

No AF still, CD34...

vallinnapod · 06/07/2010 09:24

JKS thanks for sharing. I very much like hearing positives like that! The consultant was lovely and said as the test so far had shown nothing it was very likely that whatever is going on will either sort itself out or be easy to resolve.

Love we have a shag uniform. Sorta connected but a little off topic....had to buy some emergency pants yesterday (I go to the gym first thing in the morning and in my drunken-ish stooper on Sunday night managed to just pack a bra for afterwards.... ). So popped into Next near work with the aim of just getting some cheapies. Bought what I thought at the time was a funky three-pack. One with stars, one stripey and one hot pink, all with little bows in the middle. Later on realised that they were almost identical to knickers I wore when I was about 9. What does that say about me?!?!?

Lovemylulu · 06/07/2010 09:33

So anyone else testing this week? I am trying to hang out until Thursday (AF due tomorrow)... a friend has just gone into labour with number 2 which is very exciting and making me even more broody!!

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 09:35

Lovemylulu - i will test when i get round to buying some tests!!

Dellywyn · 06/07/2010 09:56

VPod PMSL at your knicker buying capers.

Almost Hubby came home yesterday and said how he'd run into someone we know with her wee baby boy. Then he put his arm around me and gave me a goofy grin. That's as good as him admitting he likes the idea of TTC!

Lovemylulu · 06/07/2010 10:01

Well, said friend has gven birth to a baby girl mum and baby doing well....

Justkeepswimming I am trying to resist the urge to run down to Boots now and get a test!! Please someone talk me out of it...

Dellywyn · 06/07/2010 10:05

Lovemylulu!!! Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Have a nice cup of tea and sit here reading the threads instead! Go on you know you want to. And Boots is soo far away.

Did that help?

Lovemylulu · 06/07/2010 10:49

Thanks Dellywyn!! I am going to wait and try and put it out of my mind.. Thursday morning it is...
Although am at work and Boots is practically next door

vallinnapod · 06/07/2010 11:08

delly don't do it! Instead think of something really nice you can treat yourself to with the money saved on the test! A fun book, cake, wine - the list is endless

Dellywyn · 06/07/2010 12:17

Dellywyn is now to be known as NoMoreChocBisuits (for my own waistlines sanity!)

VPod I'm not wanting to buy tests, not just yet! NMCB Aims VPod's last comment at Lovemylulu where it can do some good.

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 13:09

LOL, Lulu - don't do it..err oh gwan then!!

If i had a boots next door i would go!
The chemist round the corner is tempting but they know me there and i don't want to 'share' my testing habits with them! so i have to find a more anonymous place somewhere...

still no AF....

vallinnapod · 06/07/2010 13:50

Doh! stoopid me!

May be lulu can donate the money towards a stronger contact lense/glasses prescription for me!

Idiot...sorry for confusing people!

Lovemylulu · 06/07/2010 15:56

vallinna
Well I resisted, so my plan is to go home, enjoy a couple of glasses of nicely chilled rose tonight and then if AF doesn't arrive tomorrow to buy a test after work which I can do Thursday morning.... I know if I buy them at lunchtime I will end up doing one at work which I don't want to do....
Have a good evening all, happy JS ing!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 06/07/2010 17:40

Phew, nearly another day done. Can't wait for Friday and have decided to start filling DH full of sushi to up his zinc levels. That'll keep us both happy me thinks.

I'll stop spending to much time on mn passing the time til TTC if everyone else stops threating to test early. Deal? Right. Good. (she says, knowing she'll be back far to soon...)

BrassicaBabe · 06/07/2010 19:52

Evening folks

Feeling quite fed up with it all this evening. (PMT with 4 days to go? Or just tired?) Who am I kidding this month after 9 days of negative OPKs. (Yes newbies, I digressed from The Rules this month - never again! Let it be a lesson to you )

On top of that new ILs are constantly gossiping about things like the possibiity of me going part time etc, with the inference that kids are coming along soon. I'm going to have to get a t-shirt made up with my menstrual (sp?) cycle status printed on it to shut them up! I guess it's natural for them to wonder, but I wish they would all bog-off! (Anyone else live in a village who can join me in a "village life" bitch?!)

Would have a nice bath with a mag, but the only thing I've got is the Good Food Mag.

Regale me with JSing stories folks, I need a pick me up!

pipistrello · 06/07/2010 21:26

Bath with the Good Food mag is my idea of bliss!

Like 30 I'm returning from lurking. In my case I was drven to it by shame at secret temperature taking . Hello to everyone from last time I was posting and those who have joined since. I shall try to stay within the rules from now on, though am v amused at the secret transgressions sneaking in.

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 21:44

LOL at secret transgressions

Well, fate playing tricks, orchestra (my tues night thing) finished early so i thought, yey i have time to pop to late night chemist to buy a test (who am i kidding, at least 2 tests, one to be taken asap!!).
Off i toddle, no-one else there, i can't see tests anywhere, make casual-like and buy some batteries , then she asks 'can i help?'
'um, looking for pg tests'
'oh we've run out' double
so i bought batteries.....ho hum.

Hardly low profile

Anyway pretty sure AF is on its way anyway, no probs, just make your sodding mind up!!

So sorry no JSing stories from me yet!

takingtheplunge · 06/07/2010 21:47

hello ladies...AF due at the weekend! Exciting. Going to hold off on tests til Monday. Honest.

vallinnapod · 07/07/2010 06:33

jks too funny. My mind went to the gutter with certain, ahem, toys that could require batteries

Right ladies, have we all be raid JKS's local Boots?!

Other than random symptom spotting and my now fortnightly ritual of POAS (surely acceptable when no AF and a drinking habit like mine?!) I have admitted before to a regular morning temp take. I think I mentioned it only spikes on a hangover opps!

frakkit · 07/07/2010 07:07

Morning all!

Nice to see you back pipi and 30. We'll still love you even if you fall off the wagon. We just try to keep on the straight and narrow...I must admit I feel the lure of OPKs and temping. I want to know if I'm OVing dammit! pipi bath + good food = wonderful...

vallinna PMSL at the idea your bits need an agent after their 3D dildo-cam scan. You know if you were actually pregnant you'd probably be about 3 months by now and it would have shown up on the scan so you can probably stop POAS for a bit!

JKS the chemist was conspiring to keep you from temptation. Have you succumbed yet? My mind join vallinna's in the gutter I'm afraid

taking how crazy are you going not symptom spotting?

lovemylulu - testing tomorrow, hm? You can be strong and hold off until then! Resist the lure of the wine test.

Brassica I sympathise with the village thing. The military community her is like that - all speculation about who's trying/pregnant/cutting the amount of work they do.

milano glad you found us again! I did put a link at the top of the old thread but if it's dropped off your active convos then I guess you wouldn't have found us through that. I hope we don't lose any more on the way.

Granny I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL Look after yourself, won't you?

To all the newbies - welcome to the house of shag!

To anyone I missed, I'm really sorry but jeez you lasses can natter! 125 posts in 10 days? That only gives me about a month to start thinking of a new thread title at this rate..... Can we fill this one up before I bugger off on an extended holiday on August 6th? I won't have much net access but I'm already plotting how to get on MN in case I get a BFP in that time!
