The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Mood from hell @ work fuckwits or PMT that is the question!!

gormers · 07/07/2010 11:00

4 days away from date that period should arrive (stubbornly refusing to use that acronym!!), and usually I'm going a little mad obsessing re symptom spotting. This time though I just feel a bit on the sad side, because I don't think I'm in the family way despite some cracking efforts on the js front!! Think I'm just having a low day today, my first of the trying so far so I guess I'm allowed one! One allowed before I'm classified officially nutty!

Silly to get sad about it really - if I'm not preggers, then I simply focus on having more sex! Should be a winner all round!

Am nearing the end of a 12 day stretch at work, the last 7 of which have been 14 hour days - I guess that may be dampening the mood somewhat! Someone, tell an amusing just shagging related story quick!!

BrassicaBabe · 07/07/2010 11:06

Glad I'm not the only nutter gormers. I feel better just for having your company

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2010 12:58

CD1 here - no problems, plan for plenty more JSing in place

Lovemylulu · 07/07/2010 13:48

Justkeepswimming get that cape on!

gormers and BrassicaBabe sorry you are having such a crap one...

Still no AF here so I will be going home via Boots and if stil nothing in the morning will be testing

Am amazed how restrained I have been so far with not testing!

Lovemylulu · 07/07/2010 13:49

Oh and I have been cheating lots with OPK strips I am afraid!!

BrassicaBabe · 07/07/2010 14:40

Well, I think the question about mood from hell vs PMT answered - appears to be CD1 for me. 3 days earlier than expected.

BrassicaBabe · 07/07/2010 14:41

And someone stop me googling "implantation bleed". Fecking idiot!

HallieGirl · 07/07/2010 14:49

Hi - not been on here for a while as trying to forget about ttc and just enjoying the summer and being able to drink! Still no AF -vallinna - intersted to read you updates on fun at the doctors, I have still not been brave enough to go and just hoping AF will turn up.

Now just found out that my brother's gf is pregnant by mistake! Excited for them, but can't help feeling a bit upset that it was so easy for them and it has started making me obsess again.... I guess the difference between a 20 yr old and my past it 31 yr old body ;)

takingtheplunge · 07/07/2010 14:49

Hello ladies,

gormers that sounds like one bastard of a work schedule you must be knackered!

frakkit where are you off to on hols? You live somewhere exotic, don't you? Are you going somewhere equally exotic or back to the UK on hols?

I'm on a short break with my mum so not much opportunity to obsess/POASs. Period due on Sunday and can't decide whether I might be pregnant or not. Felt quite weepy today but that's possibly cos DS had the most monster tantrum in a restaurant at lunch and I had a bit of a nark with my mum over it/my handling of it and it left a bad taste IYKWIM? no sore boobs, which is interesting as I usually get that before a period and didn't when I was pregnant and before I tested with DS. But then, I had real period cramps when I was pregnant and I don't at all, so who knows quite frankly. Think it's best to wait until Sunday, when the pharmacy is helpfully closed, see if period arrives and if not, test on monday when I'd be a day late.

My periods aren't bang on the day anyway.

Strangely unexcited actually.

frakkit · 07/07/2010 15:30

We're splitting out time between France and the UK. I do live somewhere terribly inconvenient exotic - Indian Ocean.

Hi again hallie - it sucks when people around you get pregnant by accident doesn't it?

If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't and googling implantation bleeds isn't going to change a thing!

MrsWajs · 07/07/2010 16:21

Oooh not sure how I remained on this list as think I have only ever posted here once!!

However this month I am indeed just shagging so I think I'm in the right place!

vallinnapod · 07/07/2010 17:12

I am clearly not obsessing enough as it has taken until gone 5pm to realise I have hit my century. Yep - CD100.....

My period tracker app is taking great joy in displaying "71 days late". Still, at least it hasn't resorted to "Seriously love? You STILL waiting?"

I think I'll take it out on some wine and take solace in the fact dildo-cam II - 3D is tomorrow evening. Actually quite looking forward to seeing my bits in something other than grainy black and white. I believe that they will be in an attractive and retro sepia colour for 3D. All the rage this season.

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2010 17:52

Vallinna - PMSL I shall be joining you in the guilt-free wine tonight too - best bit of AF, lol,

Cape well and truly will be on once AF buggers orf

Now period tracker app...sounds intriguing....

frakkit · 07/07/2010 18:06

Vallinna I your attitude!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 07/07/2010 18:56

AHHHHHhhhhh. That is the huge sound of me sighing with relief.

I am normal. Spending one's day thinking about nothing but babies and getting oneself up the duff is what normal adult human females do all day.

Thanks Girls!

pipistrello · 07/07/2010 20:35

vallinna I am following you cycle with interest (if that's not an alarming and stalky thing to hear someone say on the Internet). I got to 101 days this cycle before my period started. And then had 14 days of bleeding - ugh. Have got a doctor's appointment on Fri though, just for a chat.

frakkit , life in rhe Indian Ocean sounds fabulous! How long have you been there?

lulu did you buy that test on the way home?

Lovemylulu · 07/07/2010 20:51

ermmmmmm yes I did buy that test on the way home, and guess what, I couldn't wait until the morning to do it..

and I got a BFP!!!!!

am still slightly in shock... but like a maniac and glad I enjoyed a nice couple of glasses of rose last night!!!

Did of course buy a twin pack and will test again in the morning just to be sure!!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 07/07/2010 21:07

LMLULU CONGRATULATIONS! And here was me telling you not to POAS. In future I'll not be telling anyone to not POAS.

BrassicaBabe · 07/07/2010 21:15

Yeah! Congratulations! Have you told DH?!

pipistrello · 07/07/2010 21:17

Oh my God congratulations!!! What fantastic news! Are we going to need a graduates thread soon?

nomore you must do the opposite of that and carry on telling people not to test! It is clearly a v lucky instruction!

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2010 21:37

Lulu - congratulations!!!

Lovemylulu · 07/07/2010 21:38

DH is shocked!! Taking a while to sink in... he had a cheeky little grin on his face when I told him but has since sunk into a state of shock, even though we have been trying for 4 months

When DD had a tantrum at dinnertime I thought OMG i am going to have to cope with 2

Am over the moon though... and nervous!!

Thanks all for your kind comments...

takingtheplunge · 07/07/2010 21:44

congratulations Lulu! That's fab! I'm with you on the "oh my God hwo would I manage with 2?" as DS had a huge tantrum today and AF is due on Sun, I was thinking..how would I cope with two????

frakkit · 08/07/2010 06:52

Wow!!!! Congratulations Lulu Just remember you have 9 months for your DC1 to grow out of tantrums and become an angel You'll cope just fine.

I've been here 6 months, another year/possibly 2 to go. I'm hoping for a year and next posting to Paris but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
